OK, AF. I'll play....why is it ridiculous ? I think you would need to demonstrate why we should send money we have earned back, if you're gonna make that sort of comment, rather than me bothering to explain why it's a ridiculous idea. It seems pretty self-evidently ridiculous to me. I wish I could like this comment more than just the once !

His case would have been a lot stronger if he had played more/any youngsters in the first leg vs Burton. He can't have it both ways (but what's the betting that Man City will get their way).

Maybe they could recall a few of the 40+ plus players on loan?

Maybe they could recall a few of the 40+ plus players on loan? Not as daft as it sounds......this is allowed under the rules

Chelsea are similar but I did think that they were going to look to change the rules this season re reducing the number of players re clubs stockpiling talent.

Man City trying to organise an EFL competition!
If you can't see why a boycott should continue then you'll see B Teams in L1 & 2 within 10 years!
Money talks!

If Man City want to play a younger side in the League Cup, why not play an even younger side in the check trade and play a load of 16 year olds

You are probably correct but a boycott (even though it's a good idea) will not delay anything at all. Like you said 'Money talks' so if they want it to happen it will happen - even if every Checkamickeymousetrade cup game has zero attendance!

I see Pep Guardiola has been told where to go by the EFL for wanting to reschedule their under 21's quarter final. He claimed he wanted to play some of the under 21's in their League cup semi final match against Burton. The cheeky sod played a virtual full strength side in the first leg, beat them 9-0 and now expects to rest all his big boys in the replay. Fair play to the EFL on this.

I see that the club are only opening the Thatchers end and the West and South west stands. I hate it when half the ground is closed, the atmosphere is non-existent. I suppose the expected low crowd justifies the partial opening, but I just don't like it.
