22 year old Southampton player, scored as a trialist today against Forest Green. Spent first half of season on loan in Holland.

Out of contract in the summer. Used to be highly thought of. Interesting.

Excellent. Bit worried about past fitness, if he goes elsewhere and is injured we will have dodged a silver bullet.

One of those players that just needs to need the right club to get settled at and play regularly. Seems like he has been loaned to a lot of places, not played a lot and picked up a serious knee injury at Crewe. Certainly has talent and at 22 I can't see us chucking him in our development team to forget about if we did sign him. Our strikers have been so poor in front of goal that a gamble on someone like this could pay off, I guess we will see if we decide to make an offer or not.

What basis do you think he just needs to find the right club? He has no record of being proven in L2 yet, let alone L1.

Makes you wonder if he has this "finishing ability" why many of his previous managers didn't sign him? Probably just something his agent has put out there.

The basis that he hasn't had a chance to play a full season anywhere, has had to contend with a major injury and is highly rated. I never claimed that he is proven in either L2 or L1, only that if a club took a chance on him, he could get games under his belt and become proven. When you've scored the second lowest amount of goals in the division, these are the sorts of alternatives you need to be looking at.

The way your post come across was that if he just finds the right club he will do well, when in reality it sounds like you havent seen him, so none of us know what he is capable of.

Sounds like Nichols part 2, although he did score today. Perhaps Saints will swap him

His previous record in League One and Two and the fact he couldn't get a regular game for a struggling side in the Netherlands does concern me, but obviously if he signs we'll have to give him a chance and hope he can do the business here. I must admit I thought we would've had someone lined up that we've been tracking for a while and/or seen enough of to not trial him, although they must have their reasons.

Just watched a YouTube video on him & his size & finishing reminds me of Jamie Curaton, he certainly looks decent if we can sign him.
