When you got no money to water in a pot what do you expect ? Nichols next, he’s joining Billy Smarts Circus. He could take a few others with him

If only DC had given him more game time rather than his love child Lockyer, we would now have a very good strong centre back. If only DC had played a player worse than Lockyer? Imagine the stick he would have got.

GC very clear that he wanted TB to stay, but if a player wants away best to let him go. Hopefully TB will forge a first team career which wasnt happening with us. At 27 he deserves that.

Sure. Harrison we are getting paid in installments. Just what we need, instead of the lump some money to actual invest into our club. Bodin was worth well over 1m but we f*cked ourselves with contracts yet again. As for telling each other things, I never heard a reply from you about how the board "lied to you recently". Also, I never heard any developments on your story at the time that Waitrose/Aldi/Lidl buying the Mem land. instead of Sainsburys. Tell me more about that, Henbury... In fact, why don't you tell me about the 1m that we have to cut from the budget, who told you that? Wael personally? Yes i was lied to by a member of the club/board/management. Why would i put it on here for you lot to pick over. if you don't believe me i don't give a F##k. Ask Sevencider why he won't post on here. Ask Gasincider why they don't post on here, Ask Knowall why they don't post on here.... i will tell you why... because of people like you ripping them apart because they say things you can't or won't understand or accept. Why do you think i did not post about The clubs latest stadium plan ? because of people like you. If you don't like what people say don't read it. that should be simple for you to understand Stop pretending to be in the know mate, it’s pathetic. You don’t have a clue about what’s going on, face the facts. You have never got a single thing right, you jump on the back people who might actually be ITK and when it all goes sour you either hide or make up more crap. Why didn’t you post about it? Because you didn’t know about it! You’ve never called a single thing right. You hint at something (that’s already been said) yet will never go into detail because you don’t have any proof to back it up. Then you come out saying because you’ll get slated by it, yet you can’t say hat as a fact because you don’t know if you will, because you don’t actually know the crap you’re talking about. This desperate beg for attention is quite sad really.

Social media reacting like we’ve let Sercombe go on a free. Can’t remember the last time he made a league appearance The Facebook beltathon? I had to come away from that last season as it was making me want to do something else on a Saturday. Someone on there is now claiming that Broadbent is a snake for joining Swindon. Just when you think that place couldn’t get any worse, it somehow does.

I'm not really arsed about this one if I'm honest. Like others have said, seems to be TB's decision to go, as Hargreaves said he doesn't want to lose anyone, and at 27 years old you can't really blame him.
Not that I have a crystal ball, but I don't wager wager we'd be higher up the table if Broadbent started every game instead of Craig, more likely our GD and points total would be worse.
I'm judging that purely on the 30 or so games I've seen him play, and the increasing skill level in this division over the past twelve months.
That said it leaves us quite shallow at the back, and with Lockyer missing 3 or 4 games a season through Wales, then I'm a bit worried if don't get cover in, as it might be too soon for Menayese.
Not getting a fee for him is concerning too, given he was probably one of our lowest earners. What can we get in for the same wage?

People make out that TB has been one of the best players in the division and is a loss on a similar level to Matty and Bodin. Simply not true.
Rarely featured and was prone to a mistake. Maybe he could have developed into a decent League One player given game time but in a few years if we had given him game time people would then complain that we tried to develop a 27 year old instead of the young Menayese etc.
He was on a low wage which was why we gave him the chance. I wish him well but I don't think he's a loss as others are making him out to be.

Shame we couldn't keep him but if the fella wants games rather than sat on the bench then you can't blame him for going.

Shame. He's better than Lockyer and Craig We've conceded 29 goals with those two as our CB pairing, just 4 more than top of the table. All without Broadbent. Just feels like plenty of people are just desperate for a meltdown these days. GC was defensive coach before becoming manager. I trust his judgment a lot more than people searching for a kick off.

He had a little purple patch last season and looked incredible in the Oxford away game but if he was that good he'd have been starting every week. If he was 22 I'd understand the anger a bit more.

The Apprecitaion Page makes this place look like a Mensa meeting.

Where d'you get this from? One of Clarkes last statements i believe No he said something like 'if anything it's the other way' meaning in context he feels that if anything next year the budget is more likely to go down than up. Then someone on here decided to say £1M, and as if by magic that started being used as if it were gospel.

I know a lot of people don’t like Lockyer and Craig but our defence is the best it has been for years. We have gone from many seasons being bottom six in terms of goals conceded to top six.
Personally I would have liked to have seen Tom stay but I guess the management (old and current) prefered James Clarke as a third choice CB and Mayennase is younger with more potential and has been on the bench more recently so is still one for the future.

Surprised nobody's mentioned Kilgour who will probably be ready for first team starts next season?

Bristol live a story by David Byrom. " Tom Lockyer has left the club and signed for Swindon". They call themselves journalists and can't even get the name right!

Bonham saves us at least 2 goals a match which Smith/Slocombe would concede I sense he's papering over the weaknesses.
