There's a reason why they're non-league Yes, because L1+L2 proffesional clubs like ourselves haven’t given them a chance yet to unlock their potential at a higher level through proper coaching. Not every player is going to show amazing talent at 16,17,18 and find themselves a professional club. Many slip through the net due to height, poor scouting, being played in the wrong positions etc and develop later on. Plenty of examples of these sorts of players, Vardy, Bolasie and Austin being prime examples. Exactly. Well said.

I like these comments from Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth, shame it doesn't bring us a few players though. Money talks.
“I call this a proper football club, it’s a historic football club with big, big support – you get this place rocking, people know about it and away teams know about it."

It’s like having to rent an expensive house miles away from Nowhere in order to work in an Aldi. Only those really dedicated to retail management and not the other comforts in life will go - so a very small percentage. Hence we can’t sign any players.. we are a sh** Aldi store in the sticks! 😂 But we can offer Div 1 football, a decent size home crowd and a decent area of the country to live. Yeovil managed to get to the Championship offering far less. Perhaps we needed a "name", like Cotterill or Holloway, to attract players, not someone even most of us had never heard of before Christmas.

Sounds like GC had 3 or 4 players lined up last week and none have happened. All the same stuff that DC said. The bloke is already distancing himself from the players. It's clear we're gonna spend f**k all and dice with our league one status. I'm dreading where our club is going, no direction and no idea. That today was as bad as I have ever seen, let alone this season. "Sounds like GC had 3 or 4 players lined up last week and none have happened" Serious question, where did you get this from? Please don't say Gaschat..... I'm kind of in agreement with GGMI on this one (and that's a rarity). I'm sure I read (and not on gaschat) that GC stated if he was given the managers job at Rovers he had players lined up to come in. Of course it may be he has. But lets not leave it too long as others around us are strengthening their squad and in some cases are already reaping the rewards.

Players coming here on loan til May are hardly going to worry about crowds dropping off next season! The board are jokers. They are not interested in us for the right reasons. They were hoping to make money off the back of UWE and 4 Windows straight now look to be selling our best player.
Stadium and training ground to obvious reasons players don't come to us, the fact a professional sports team doesn't have its own training facility is a disgrace.
