Sunday Evening and about time we had a good news story:
We were in the bar behind the Thatchers end at half time and a bloke came up to us and started talking to us, asking us questions. He then introduced himself as the new catering manager. Seemed like a nice enough chap and to take the time to start talking to punters at half time, we thought was a good way to interact.
Only complaint is that he said enjoy a few lagers after the game. We corrected him that is should be Ciders.

New? What happened to Mike Gorringe?
Surely we don’t need a full time employee to run a few hundred roast dinners and pasty sheds

I did notice a reduction in the time to get served by the huts on the east terrace.
I normally don't bother cause the queues are so long so that's £4 the club had off me they normally wouldn't get.

FFS, there goes the Broadbent money then! Oh well if it makes the commercial food side more efficient and profitable, then I suppose it's a good thing.

Catering Manager doesn't even sound like striker.

Last one got the sack. Changed the menus all the time. Staff moaned that didn't know what they were doing and started putting meat in the veggie pies. Some were also peed off as they were used to pouring tea, but were asked to take orders add up & give change instead. So this appointment will probably see an upturn in standards for a couple of weeks, but by mid Feb, they will probably revert to type.

Catering staff are so precious these days, I put it down to the money making them big time Charlie's.

Apparently they were charging £1.50 for tap water yesterday. Very rarely do I buy food from the mem these days as I find the queues to be long and the prices to be expensive for what they serve. The catering for hospitality is excellent though it has to be said.

Yes EU law states it should be free in any establishment that sells food. Saw someone on twitter complaining to Tom Gorringe about it, who to his credit quickly responded.

We're going to have more, and better, backroom staff than anyone else in League 2 next season.
That fills me with pride.
