Thought they'd make a good go of it this season but obviously not gone to plan the last couple of weeks. Job for DC? Their owner is very fond of DC based on past comments and they've got money to spend.

Never a good time when a club lose their manager. The good old managerial bounce will have its say again

They always expect promotion and make drastic changes when it inevitably doesn’t come. For a club that only gets 5k crowds they’ve always been above their station, I’d bite your hand off to be 6th in the table. Not sorry to see Steve Evans get sacked at all though if I’m honest, glad he wasn’t available when we needed a new manager. I’m sure they’ll get a new manager, sign 15 more players in the summer and predict promotion again.
Hopefully this doesn’t give them a boost for Tuesday. We desperately need to put some points on the board.

They spent money and signed numerous players,i suppose the deal was automatic promotion. Trouble is like last season after a great start they have struggled badly.

They don’t seem to have anyone capable to take it on as a caretaker manager. So unless they appoint somebody permanently in the next two days then it’s a perfect time to play them.

It's an awful time to play them in what's a massive game for us.

P’boro are an absolute basket case club with visions of grandeur well above their station.
As much as I dislike Evans to have a club in the top 6 of L1 is a decent first go of it. If they didn’t make it this year they would likely do it next with their squad.
Bonkers decision IMO.

Maybe but I’ve made a lot of money over the years by betting on teams that have just sacked their manager to win their next game. I’ll be surprised if they don’t pick up over the next few games.

The appointment of Ferguson changes everything. I do agree that now it is the worst possible match to play next.

Two spells in the championship and every other season in the top half of league one in the last 10 years. If their a basket case i hate to think what we are!

Surely things have kicked off behind the scenes. Strange they allowed Evans to take charge today knowing he would be out the door no matter what come 5pm. Not the classiest move.

Basket case in that they have had more managers trying to get back into the championship than we have trying to get out of L2 and each one loses their job when they are in the top 10 of the league and in the building phase. DMAC expects to cycle players through the squad and throw £750k a year in transfer fees to go up that same year without actually giving the manager 2 years to build a settled side that could even compete should they get there.

Where as our board have settled for being a crap club selling their best players and replacing them with rubbish whilst cutting our budget and preparing for league 2 rather than selling their best for decent money and staying in the top half of league 1 like Peterborough have done.

I think you will find their incoming money from transfers far exceed their outgoings.
