You don’t know until you put us up for sale. How do you sell your car or house? Got to advertise the thing, give it a little spruce up (signings to keep us up) Because people are queuing up to takeover a club losing millions a season! If it wasn't Rovers, would you be interested?? When you could go for a club with a decent stadium and facilities already in place. The amount they could buy another club for, would be no way near how much it would cost to sort us out. Which makes the Al-Qadi's refusal to back down on wanting all the UWE revenues and land look like a terrible mistake.

With all the cost cutting going on in and around the club, they must be planning for a Div 2 existence or they are trying to make the club look better financially to prospective new owners.
At the moment it looks like the former but i hope for the latter

Not if they are still planning to build elsewhere. I admire your optimism, I genuinely do. Didn't say I was optimistic. Fact is we don't know what they are doing. So they could still be working on alternative sites. If they are not, why did they raise the budget this season, why appoint a CEO etc. Things like that, mean I'm still 50/50. Even DC said the other day that have been trying, but so far it's not come off.

GC will decide on the development squad, if he wants to take the money from that and put it into the first team. So that's moving the budget, not cutting it??? Unless you know different??

Steve Brookfield the Finance Director left in June last year just before Martyn Starnes came in so we have replaced a Finance Director with a CEO who also happens to be an accountant. Given the circumstances that change is unlikely to have incurred extra cost for Rovers. Darrell Clarke often spoke well of Steve Brookfield and it is disappointing that he was allowed to leave without any announcement from the club or acknowledgement of his service.

3rd January 2018: Dwane Sports are pleased to announce that Evans Jones Chartered Surveyors and Planning Consultants of Cheltenham have been appointed as manager to oversee the development of The Colony training facilities. 28th January 2019: .... This tells me enough to have little or no confidence in our owners to successfully run our club. My understanding is that we no longer employ them, I could of course be wrong. A question for the Chairman or the CEO?

They're trying to "produce" a flop??? Maybe we need to change our club song to "Springtime for Hitler in Germany" ?

DC & MS wage bill for starters Some of the duplicate backroom staff not having their contracts renewed No new Kit for the development squad Development squad being cut next year Development Squad + Under 21's training together Players being released and not replaced (so far) On the upside we are looking for more scouting staff

Not disbelieving you but Wael made a big thing of producing our own players as part of the evolution line. IMO we'd be better off with a smaller 1st team squad supplemented by our own youngsters but what do I know ? The owners seem to have a very different take on what evolution means !!

DC & MS leaving was hardly a cost cutting exercise, plus we've probably had to pay DC some compo for his 5 year contract etc so it's actually cost us more in the short term.

Not if they are still planning to build elsewhere. Please tell me you didn’t fall for that...?? No that's why I'm 50/50. The stuff they have done does not add up, to them not being interested IMO. Fact is no one knows. Although according to most fans on here, because they don't know, that is good enough to mean nothing is happening lol.
