If this is all we can muster up then we’re down. Raiding Coventry reserves what have we come to. Hardly a reserve with 27 first team appearances to his name this season.

Hardly the signing we were all hoping for, but reserve judgement on the player.
Bristol Rovers absolute shambles. Alqs please sell up.

Haha this is where we see everyone turn from fuming about not signing anyone, to fuming about who we’ve signed before they’ve even seen him play. Well clearly Mark Robins has seen him play, and subsequently decided he's not good enough for a bang average league one team. A bit like how Matty Taylor wasn’t good enough for a bang average Forest Green side in the conference?

Scored 6 in 28 and also scored against Sunderland this season as well as Luton. 6ft striker with strong physique and pace, should work well with Nichols or Reilly. Also played around 60 odd games in the Championship. UTG

Two in from cov unbelievable Didn’t need to pay him a wage really, could’ve just googled who they signed while he was at the club They’re the only f*cking team we outscored this season!!! 3-1 HT!! He tried getting bakayoko as well 😂😂 Almost forgot we went in for Bakayoko. Imagine trying to sign that absolute donkey! Deary me. What sort of clowns have we got running our recruitment? Utterly pathetic.

Haha this is where we see everyone turn from fuming about not signing anyone, to fuming about who we’ve signed before they’ve even seen him play. We've seen names like Hylton, Pitman and Harrison banded about...and then we sign this lad. No disrespect to him but on paper we needed so much more than a young serial loanee. I'm more sad about all our signings having a link to Coventry- we dodged a bullet with Bakayoko. All our staff are from Plymouth and all our players have been touched by the hand of Cov. It's so lazy and uninspiring- budget signings from a budget manager and HoR presided over by a budget President. This is the best they could do in 31 days. Have a think about that.

A bit like how Matty Taylor wasn’t good enough for a bang average Forest Green side in the conference? Most players who are deemed not good enough usually aren't good enough. Let's not forget the stick Matty got because he had something like 1 goal in his first 15 games with us. We don't have 15 games to let someone find their goalscoring boots.

If this is true then I'll look forward to seeing him in action. There's always the chance that a player can suddenly turn a corner at a new club and bang in the goals. Look at Tom Eaves as an example. However, I still think our transfer business is getting worse and worse with every window that passes. The ALQ's have to leave if this trend continues. We have to be positively moving the club forward, not pulling the purse strings tighter and tighter by the month. We haven't even replaced our defensive coach and development squad coach yet!!! and be replaced by who?

Well he scored 6 goals this season more than all our existing strikers total put together, so a bit of an improvement but i think we all hoped for better.

You can gamble on signings etc but this window, with our lack of goals etc. We needed to not p*** about and get the best we could afford. We had 31 days, 31 days to make a statement of intent. Well, this is the statement. You may be happy with it. But I'm not. Buckle will be laughing his tits off at how our expectations have been lowered.

He was on loan with them last season before they signed him permanently in the Summer so they obviously saw something in him. He’s scored as many league goals as the rest of our strikeforce put together so far this season. I think deciding he isn’t good enough before he’s even put the shirt on is a bit harsh on the lad.

Utterly pathetic. Bakayoko looked sh** on paper.... ....and he was sh** on grass too. A look at his record on soccerbase shows he is regularly brought on as a sub in the 89th minute and yet Widdrington would have made us pay 200k for him. Honestly, was Widdrington recommended by Lansdown or something?

If he doesn't seem to have his feet nailed to the ground and a bag of cement in his shorts then he should be an improvement on the sham footballer that was Payne.
Hopefully Shrewsbury will cancel the remaining payments for that colossal waste of space and keep him for good.
One of the worst signings we've ever made, and that includes the disaster areas that were Mickey Evans, that useless Scotsman whose name I can't remember and even, involuntary shudder, Alvin Bubb!
