Blisset has scored twice tonight for Solihull who now topping the fifth tier. They are playing Aldershot with menayase and mensah in their line-up.

Why did Menayase end up at Aldershot after seemingly doing ok at Swindon last year? Was it a case of no higher clubs wanting him? I can't believe dropping to the fifth tier is going to help his development.

82'ers fluke a penalty at the death 2-1 That can't be right, according to them we get *all* the penalties, ever.

At the risk of stating the bleeding obvious, although we have the most games against the higher teams, we also have the least games against the lower teams.
If a lower team plays another lower team then they can't both win; ergo, that helps us in some ways. E.g. tonight, Walsall losing to dons not only kept Walsall down near us (and within overtaking distance) but also gave dons 3 points which may not, or admittedly may..., prove that valuable to them.
Hard to know what really are the hardest games at this time of the season. Certainly games in april vs midtable clubs are the best, but most other oppo are harder work either way.
BTW - for me form is a killer. I know we are hardly ripping up trees but I'd be far far more worried if I was a shrews, gills or saddlers fan. I noted quite a while ago that Accy Stanley need to be careful. Still should be worried.

Portsmouth have 2 pts from their last 5 games Sunderland have 1 win from their last 5 games
Every chance we will get something from both of these games.

Exactly where as a lot of the teams near the bottom, have been in ok form. Walsall and Rochdale have been in bad form. Hard to say who's going to do what!

In the last couple of months you want to be playing mid table teams who have very little chance of making the play offs or getting dragged into a relegation battle. The teams who have nothing to play for. Also once the first teams start to be officially relegated and have nothing to play for.
Playing teams fighting relegation or teams fighting for the play off positions will probably be the harder games.
Then right at the end of the season you could end up playing a team who have already secured their play off place and cannot get top two so may rest of few players before the first leg.

There will be strange results I think you can look up as far as wyscum on 40 points some teams go on terrible runs. We are not losing many but we need some wins on the board, think we could do pompey I know history is against that, but did Leicester really win the premier league. Need to stick together in the lift, and create a good atmosphere at the mem crank up the speakers tubthumping and get Keith valle back for big games 😂😂

I agree to an extent but of course it's not a science you can rely on. I recall final game of the season 99/00 when we were in need of a win to guarantee a playoff place and we were playing Cardiff who had already been relegated...1-0 defeat. Sometimes the teams who have nothing to play for have the shackles removed and start to play with more freedom and confidence. The year after that match at Cardiff we were already relegated on the final day and managed to spank Wrexham 4-0 at the Mem didn't we? Still I do agree that there is a chance that teams with nothing to play for will field a slightly weakened 11, but then again we may not be that lucky! It's going to be a nervous final straight...

I'm always the optimist and will point to our consistency at the moment with only 2 defeats in G.Cs reign. However I know we could have got another 7 points from the matches v Wycombe Burton and Shrewsbury. That said I don't have a very good feeling about this season as fir all the good results we aren't pulling away. It really is going to take us having to get points at places we never seem to do well - Walsall and Southend for example when we visit the likes of Portsmouth, Scunthorpe Gillingham etc.

I think our fate will remain undecided until the last game of the season. The Mansfield experience is still pretty raw and I'm not sure I would want to put myself through watching a game like that again. I would love it, absolutely love it if Wycombe and the Shrews went down - their antics and approach fully deserve not one but consecutive relegations

Agreed - last two games Fleetwood away and Barnsley at home. Can't see us getting much from those I'm afraid (unless Barnsley are already up and so relax too much, or are safely in the play offs and don't want to risk injuries before those start)

I think it is definitely going to go down to the wire, 3 points from the next two would be a terrific return however I cant see it happening.

Also,we found the time to be 2 goals up in 10 minutes even though we ‘time wasted’ from minute 1.Jokers.

I’ve been to Pompey 5times, never seen a win, think we drew 2-2 once Same, been there several times, never seen BRFC win, we are now moving into desperate territory, time for some big matches from so called big players.
