Not sure if this has been mentioned, but he's been recalled from his loan spell. Seems to have done well in the national League and has even scored a couple of goals.
With Lockyer possibly going on international duty, he will probally get a chance to get some game time.
Will be interesting to see how he gets on.

There's a thread on gasheads.org about Alfie with input from a Maidenhead supporter saying what a terrific job he's done in helping turn their defence around. Also a video of a goal he scored. gasheads.org/thread/8062/alfie-kilgour

Disappointed for alfie as he was 1st choice at maidenhead and probably wanted to see the job through. Now he will be on the bench when lockyer is away and not even that when he isnt. Waste of time.

It really was a lovely finish with his left foot on Tuesday night.

I'm inclined to agree, I would like to see him develop properly and he was doing just that at Maidenhead. As he's been recalled from a good loan spell there I really hope he actually plays for us between now and the end of the season.

L2 clubs can't take loans any more since the window shut, can they?

Difficult one IMO. Is it better to get first-team games at a far inferior level or be in-and-around the main squad in the third tier, potentially getting some minutes here and there? Sounds like he's done well at Maidenhead though so hopefully he gets a chance when Lockyer is away. Can't help but question why on earth we brought in the lad Osho from Reading when we could've just kept Alfie or Rollin around.

Blimey, presumed his goals were headers from a corner or something!not sweet left footers aka Messi! as for recall coaches must have been monitoring him and may have decided he is ready ,hope so!

Osho has come in to cover in the short term.
I am assuming Parts injury is a bit more than a niggle and with Leadbitter injured we may need some defensive cover and recalling Alfie is because of this

Only 2 leagues below, so long term it would have been better for him to play IMO. Hopefully he will get a chance with us.

Yeah I get that, it does make some sense but I just meant is it actually more beneficial to get game time at a much inferior level rather than be in-and-around the squad? FWIW, I'm not sure which side of that fence I fall on - inclined to go game time but playing the likes of Boreham Wood and Dover hardly readies them for L1 football does it?

Absolutely no clue, I've found nothing to suggest he is in the form of GC quotes or BP articles... just seems like another standard Rovers loan signing of a player not at the level required, but I'm just speculating.
