Heard this on Radio Bristol this morning. last chance to convince me to renew my ST next season. Fed up with no news and confidentiality excuses. The ground is an embarrassment, better tent sites at Weston! Geoff is pre-recording an interview this afternoon. Is today the day? š

Letās all slag off the bloke again who is trying his best to make this club a proper football club. Yes they have made mistakes but Wael Al Qadi is as a big a fan of this club like all of us are.
I know and trust heās doing the best he can for our club and we are in safe hands under his leadership. We may not have a shiny new ground yet but he will preserve our Div1 status whilst he is owner of this club and we canāt say this of Geoff Dunford and Nick Higgs, only Dennis Dunford. If they donāt build us a new ground I truly believe whatever happens they will leave us in Div1 and this club must preserve its Div1 status.
Yes we are losing money, yes the debts are going up but as a business and commercially we have never been in better shape. Martyn Starnes is working hard in the background and this is an experienced football man running the club.
Give them the benefit of the doubt, Wael Al Qadi will not leave this club in the sh**.

Have a sense of humour bud and a sense of perspectiveĀ No mark I am sick of the negativity around the club, they made a brave decision in December and itās paid off and will pay off. When we signed Jonson we have posts on this forum saying āf**k off Al Wadiā and āf**k off Waelā This club is forming a new identity under a new leadership on and off the pitch. Martyn is doing his bit and so is Cogs. Letās all be now Bristol Rovers supporters and stop being Darryl Clarke FC Supporters. We will get a new ground because Wael Al Qadi will find the investment and people to help him do it.

Just for the sake of argument: Decision in December on GC can only be declared successful is we stay up. Otherwise it didn't pay off. Your statement is a guess, but you're talking like it is fact. I personally don't really see the leadership off the pitch, but am open to hearing your argument. You can be a Bristol Rovers supporter without believing Wael/Starnes are messiahs. RE; the ground, there is no evidence to suggest we will get a ground under the current ownership. Just for the fun of it, is it not equally as destructive/damaging to a club to have blind optimism?

RE; the ground, there is no evidence to suggest we will get a ground under the current ownership. Just for the fun of it, is it not equally as destructive/damaging to a club to have blind optimism?Ā I have every confidence Cogs will keep us up and we will be safe by mid April, under the current manager I think we would have gone down. Commercial look at where we are now under Tom Gorrringe and you can see what he learned at Brighton. The 1883 club end of season awards last season was brilliant and I look forward to the evening on the 10th April again. You only have to look at Plymouth and see what Martyn helped do their, a Div1 club with no real money but a half decent stadium and with his experience we are moving forward. Off the pitch they are trying so hard on the new stadium front, I am not saying anymore than this, Iām not a Banned word making stuff up and I donāt know what the plans are. But I have introduced people to the board, someone of major significance who someone like Gashead81 on this forum can back me up on because I introduced the person to him at the Wimbledon home game.
