watching what? - Div 1 OR Div 2? By offering so early surely means one thing - running out of money - AGM will be interesting. Knowall, you've got it in one. It looks like Dwayne Sports want the cash, before they depart and that will leave any new custodians with bugger all to play with. Please let this happen soon. Sorry but that's just pure sh** stirring.

Bags I'm in the East stand but why are we paying more than the 82ers watching championship football , I'm a simple man but can anyone explain the logic of this? Yes I'll renew but feel a little done over This. Pal of mine has a ST at Saints and watches PL football for £400 a season, £10 cheaper than my Early Bird East Stand quote. Granted, three games less, but the price we have to pay to watch what has largely been uninspiring football all season is tragic. It’s daylight robbery. Thing is Southampton and the other 19 Premier League teams could quite easily survive without gate receipts so for them it's all about a full stadium and good atmosphere, which keeps the TV money rolling in. Where as we need every penny we can get just to try and compete with some of the big name clubs who end up in L1 these days. I agree it's a lot of money but can see the reasoning why.

Didn't Higgs/Watola say our break even figure was over 12,000.
That was in the days before 30 backroom staff.
Just to break even on 8,000 gate the price would need to be around £35-£40.
That's why we need to sell the best players or pray for a cup run.

Yeah I take your point, can't disagree. Just doesn't make it affordable for the everyday fan, nor is it justifiable for L1 football!

Anyone know why it’s more expensive for me and my 7 year old to stand in the family terrace than the north terrace? That is a weird one. £35 more expensive. I doubt anyone would honestly suggest that the family terrace is a much better view or experience than north terrace. AND the whole point of family terrace is to encourage families in a benign area; not to discourage them via price.

Will be supporting whilst perusing other interest next, first time in 20+ years. When the club starts moving forward off the pitch I will be back, but paying to sit in the rain each week through winter has worn on me.

The correlation between fans supporting the club and moving forward off the pitch is pretty clear and I hope the majority still choose to support.

If season ticket prices didn't go up for what is the same experience each season I wouldn't complain, but each season now we are paying more to sit in the rain. Will free up a few seat in the east stand anyway.

But if we didn't put prices up we'd have to cut the playing budget each season, not sure any of us didn't expect a £10/£20 increase for continued Div 1 football again next season.
