A comment i keep hearing since GC took over. I feel this is the best compliment we can pay the man, he has really turned a large ship in a tight port. SteveK this should be your report title tonight. Well done Cogs, i have to say i wasn't sure but our season has transformed, other results are making things difficult but well done all.

Another solid result and performance, but then again it had to be a loss would have put a lot of pressure on with hard games to come over the next weeks. This has been one of the fiercest relegation battles I can remember and despite form that would have put us in the top four over the last 10 weeks we are still not nearly safe. GC has given us a good chance of beating the drop, but I've been here too many times to start counting chickens Whatever happens I can't fault the efforts of the boys in quarters this season so far. UTG

You’re right and I wonder if the stattos out there can tell us when we last got 4 clean sheets on the spin? well done everyone concerned. UTG!

UTG Have we been here that many times though, the only season I can recall where we thought we were safe but still went down was we beat Wycombe? We're still right in the middle of this battle but at least we're picking up points/keeping clean sheets.

The difference is this season any of the bottom 13 could go down, that season it was in our hands and we bottled it. Like I said whatever happens this time the lads are giving it their best imo.

The Lockyer and Craig doubters obviously haven’t got a clue, enough said. UTG

I agree, he speaks so positively of the lads and it's bound to rub off of them, which results indicate is the case. In terms of performance, we more than matched Charlton and Pompey but were some way shy of Sunderland. Maybe that's just peaks and troughs but I don't see any reason why we couldn't compete next year if we can continue performing to this standard with a bit of extra quality on the pitch.
