Says he is a "Jack of all trades" and his week consists of "Sunday/Monday are analysis days where you break down the game into it's constituent parts" basically "what you have done well and what you can improve" and some individual player work doing the same (if the manager wants). Once that is over they look at the opposition with the week split 70/30 on the opponents, puts his scouts hat on and watches at least 2 games they have recently played...for when the inevitable questions come on the Thursday where the manager/coaches will be setting up game plans for the following Saturday. So Wednesday/Thursday are scouting days and Friday is team meeting day where he might do a video from the analysis/scouting obtained from Weds/Thurs' work. Saturday game day where he will do pre and post match work and then the process starts all over again. totalfootballanalysis.podbean.com/e/total-football-analysis-podcast-5-interview-with-enda-barron-of-bristol-rovers//

Probably down-selling us as a club here but genuinely surprised to see we actually have someone that does this. Genuinely thought it'd be more for the PL/CH clubs than those in the third tier and below.
Christ, I hold our board in high esteem, don't I...

I remember meeting the young lad McGhee brought in. Before that I think they were freelance but could be wrong, I usually am!

I mean, I'm not that surprised we do have them now I suppose given it's the in-thing (and obviously bloody useful!). But given that analysts of sorts have only become 'popular' and 'mainstream' in the last few years, and given the typical gross incompetence at Bristol Rovers, I'm pleasantly surprised!! Mind you, DC loved going on about how much he analysed opponents and, more recently, how "most managers were their salt do what Bielsa does".

Enda has been at the club quite a long time.

Video analysis of games started under Paul Buckle & Enda is the third analysist since then. I think this is Enda's second season.
It was DC who placed a lot of faith in analysing a game
Makes you wonder how we managed all those years ago when video analysis didn't exist apart from the manager viewing a copy of the game.
Rovers have had a club video produced for every game since 1986

I always assumed that it was something lots of clubs bought in from third parties. Into the manager's inbox on a monday morning, sort of thing.
