Yeah they’re all making fun of us on the OTIB forum and our choice of background for the FAQ site. Embarrassing. Love the effort and production levels now in this, but I get having the bridge in the video - but why hotwells? And how the f**k did they let Ashton gate appear in the background when he was running over the bridge..? Truely shocking and we deserve to have the water taken out of us for it... I mean WTF? Awlful. Yep. Understand the bridge despite links to their previous badge but allowing their stadium to be seen is bad enough but with the quote that appears at the time it's even worse.

If childbirth is the theme of your advertising you'd be hard-pressed to beat the 1998 scalextric ad: Am I the only one who was expecting the Scalextric to appear instead of a baby? Think they missed a trick.

I see the moaning Mini's are out in force again
FFS its a advert, something we as club don't do !
Embrace the change don't criticise it
This is the shape of things to come from our corporate owners (new or old)

Vanity reply that won't improve your standing on here Not particular arsed about my standing on here. I just fail to see how an advert solely going out on official outlets will add to season ticket sales. Thanks for your vanity reply dink x This is brilliant! Well done @thgorringe. Maybe we can see some advertising on the back of this? I've seen advertising for Bristol City and Bristol Bears around the city on electronic billboard etc... t.co/xz8XKm8l70@thgorrongr Watch this space...👍🏼 Hopefully a bit more than official channels

It is a good Ad. I like it, Embrace and celebrate, who knows one day we might have a stadium to grace such an advertisement, with a big screen beaming that video across to the 30,000 seats …………. TAXI!!!
Oh, and we now officially stake claim of the Clifton suspension bridge, belonging to the one true team in Bristol with history
May all new born babies now be officially known as Gas Heads of Bristol

I had already renewed before the advert came out & it wouldn’t have affected my decision either way. It’s a cracking effort once again by the media team.
To be honest, who besides those who watch Rovers & City regularly would even realise that one of those tiny specs of light in the background is AG?! There are thousands of lifelong Bristolians out there who would not even know. It’s a tiny bit of light, it isn’t like he runs past the Atyeo statue for a high five.
If someone does not renew/buy off of the back of this & is genuinely annoyed by it to that extent, then you must have a very care free life that the regular man can only be extremely envious of.

This is just a minor distraction as on the approaching 1,000 page oh we're not obsessed with you thread, the wooden heads are all sat waiting patiently for our year end accounts to be published, true story. I'm not sure what category that falls under, but it has to be somewhere between obsession and care in the community I'd of thought ..

Can’t understand why people are getting upset that they can just about make out the lights of the Bristol Bears rugby stadium.

Great advert, and again shows how much Rovers have moved on in the Commercial front over the last couple of years. Those crying about a fleeting glimpse of AG in the background, and worried that 'OTIB are laughing as us' are a precious bunch of souls, and really need to grow a pair, as far worse things to worry about.
By the sounds of things there will be a more concerted effort to get Rovers advertised across various media streams, and apparently that has already started, as someone mentioned on Twitter that for the first time EVER, they heard an advert for Rovers being played on local radio last night.

People have been saying for years how Rovers are stuck in the dark age compared to City in marketing the club, yet when they produce a professional looking video people are quick to criticise. Get ready for people to criticise the end of season awards night even when those who attended last season said some premiership teams would have been proud of the event. Producing a video is all well and good, but the question I ask when I watch it is: "do they convey the identity of the 'brand'? To me, the 'theme' of the video (buying a kit for a new born baby) and 'the brand' are two separate entities when perhaps they should be more closely linked. ie you could swap the kit for a Sheffield Wednesday one, change the titles to 'Sheffield born and bred' and the ad still works because there isn't enough about it that is unique to Rovers. It's a shame imo because there is a lot that is unique about Rovers (some not necessarily good!) and we could market that in a positive way, but we produce this vid which is okay...but bland and doesn't really touch on why getting a season ticket at Rovers is a better choice than a season ticket at City or Cardiff or where-ever. The one last year was better because at least it used terracing as a central element to the theme and terracing is almost unique to Rovers.

I look forward to next years;
Stevie is a boy from Bedminster, an outcast in school due to horrendous anomalies with his biological set up. Stevie finds friendship and acceptance at the Mem after carrying out an incredible journey across the City. From the Cohen Brothers a young Corey Feldman and Morgan Freeman star in - Wings of a Sparrow, Arse of a Crow.

Don’t get the negativity. So it shows the Suspension Bridge, I thought that was Bristol. Didnt realise Pantsdown has bought that as well. Don’t go on otib but if others are saying they are all over it, well done our commercial dept. Job done. Why are they worried about it? Pure brilliance well done TG (if it’s him).😉 UTG!

I think the video is ok, better than previous marketing campaigns, but not as good as last years.
I agree 100% with other posters calling for us to use more of what is unique to us in our marketing if we want to attract new fans.
