People have been saying for years how Rovers are stuck in the dark age compared to City in marketing the club, yet when they produce a professional looking video people are quick to criticise. Get ready for people to criticise the end of season awards night even when those who attended last season said some premiership teams would have been proud of the event. Producing a video is all well and good, but the question I ask when I watch it is: "do they convey the identity of the 'brand'? To me, the 'theme' of the video (buying a kit for a new born baby) and 'the brand' are two separate entities when perhaps they should be more closely linked. ie you could swap the kit for a Sheffield Wednesday one, change the titles to 'Sheffield born and bred' and the ad still works because there isn't enough about it that is unique to Rovers. It's a shame imo because there is a lot that is unique about Rovers (some not necessarily good!) and we could market that in a positive way, but we produce this vid which is okay...but bland and doesn't really touch on why getting a season ticket at Rovers is a better choice than a season ticket at City or Cardiff or where-ever. The one last year was better because at least it used terracing as a central element to the theme and terracing is almost unique to Rovers. Maybe they should have given the baby an earring, an eye patch and a cutlass to make it more Rovers themed. Dad then sails down the Avon in his pirate ship, looses off a couple of cannon shots at Ashton Gate on his way through the floating harbour, ties up under the suspension bridge - which he then hangs a blue and white skull and crossbones from before jogging up to pirate leisure to get his babygrow. That sort of thing you mean?

Without going into all the balls about the actual video... I hope we can all agree that we are amazing in having not one, but TWO, unique nicknames.
We may or may not be able to agree though that we don't make much of them, especially The Pirates. If we were a cricket or rugby team we'd be all over it like Peter stringfellow on a scantily clad lady. Yes, I know we're a football team but surely we could make so much more of what little we've got.

That sort of thing you mean? What they should have done is have a player swing down to Ashton gate dressed as a blue and white quartered version of sloth from the goonies shouting ‘heyyyy you guys’ and then say ‘Sh1!heads, you’ve been bad.’ Then the Avon gorge opens up with a magical pirate ship which whisks people off to the Mem

It definitely screams 'Bristol Rovers' more than some faceless geezer giving his nipper a baby-grow!

We regret to announce that our season ticket payment plan provider Zebra Finance, are no longer providing this service for Bristol Rovers or any other previous clubs.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and assure supporters the club is looking at alternative options on payment plans for 2019/20 season tickets, although this is not something we can completely guarantee.
Those with current agreements already in place with Zebra Finance will be unaffected.
Anyone who has applied for credit but has not yet had it accepted, will have their application cancelled.
You can find more information on 2019/2020 season tickets HERE.

Do football fans not pay up or something?

Perhaps fans of clubs at the top or middle carry on watching and paying but if they’ve had a bad season say sod this it’s not worth it and cancel it and don’t go. No idea but perhaps that might happen. Of course that wouldn’t happen at Rovers. 😉 UTG!

Apparently Raphael's Bank is winding down, and that was the bank that used to back Zebra. Weird how they can't find another bank to back them, though. It's free money. www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/768480/Premier-League-EFL-season-ticket-crisis

Just phoned the Club to renew my 2 STs and the option to pay monthly is no longer available.
They may consider extending the Early Bird offer past the 16th.
Very disappointed and may not be able to renew
I hope the club are able to resolve this soon.
