Agree with some in here, Tom’s goal does look over the line actually

Thanks for posting the goals as always. Still shed a tear every time I watch Browner's mind. I still have trouble believing it happened but added to that, I still expected Stanley to score late on in their game. So for it to actually clinch promotion was a real bonus.

Yes real shame about the own goal because I thought Craig was brilliant today. Helped young Alfie through the game. That JCH goal, oh my word!!!

Thanks for posting as always! JCH's confidence is obviously sky high right now and long may it continue, what a screamer! Nice cross by James Clarke and cracking nod from Reilly for the 2nd. From the look of it on the highlights it's very difficult to tell if Nichols effort was over the line but I'd say even if we had VAR it would be hard to tell, so no way the officials could have given it either way. Wouldn't be VAR though would it? It would be the goal line technology that is already in place in both the Premier League and the Championship. If today's fixture had been in the Championship then the referee's wrist device would have gone off (or not) and we'd know for sure but it was in L1 and we don't. The argument is that it is too expensive to install everywhere, but I'm wondering whether they de-install it for relegated clubs?? I doubt they've ripped it out at Sunderland, for example, as it must have been a reasonable shout that their stay in the third tier would be brief. So if they've got it why not use it? No-one is gaining an unfair advantage...just that in the games where it is available close decisions are more accurate which is what everyone wants in as many games as possible. With three up three down GLT would gradually be available at more and more lower tier games.

End of. The more grounds it can installed at, the better, and the point about relegated clubs surely makes complete sense. VAR on the other hand is a horrible system that seems to cause as much controversy as it seeks to stop. PSG v Man United is a case in point. Unlike GLT where there is a definitive line for the ball to cross, any decision that is still open to interpretation should be left in the hands of the referee and not be influenced or made by someone in a truck somewhere merely taking a different interpretation of the same incident.

JCH having a goal of the season competition all by himself! Our best two goals this season have been his last two. I wonder what he’s got in stall for us on Tuesday ? Unless he picks it up in his own six yard box, beats five people and sticks it in the top corner from 55 yards, it will just be Tuesday.

The video does not do the JCH strike justice, It flew in so fast; JCH is everything we needed and every thing Payne is not. As for Craig, what was he thinking ? could not really see it from the Barn Park end yesterday, on video it looks awful, no one around him and yet he hits it at an into the goal. Doh

And it's a cheers Doc from France. Freeze frame on 19 seconds and the positioning of the keeper (to me) shows the ball must have crossed the line. Too late now so we move on to Donny and a further 3 points towards survival.

He'd have been going mental if it had crossed the line.

I don't think it was to be honest, when I've frozen it it seems to come off the keeper's knee which is still in front of the line, rather than his hands which are behind....

''He'd have been going mental if it had crossed the line'' Not Tom's style.

''He'd have been going mental if it had crossed the line'' Not Tom's style. Seems James Clarke was the only Rovers player to appeal that it had in fact crossed the line.

''He'd have been going mental if it had crossed the line'' Not Tom's style. He's done it with penalty shouts that have been turned down, why not if it was a definite goal?
