www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47686797Been coming, never understood why they extended his contract just before Xmas. Surely DC would be of major interest for them, but I'm sure he could do much better than them if he waits until the summer. Or maybe MS?

That’s a shame, I will really miss his droning boring interviews on radio bristle.

I am actually quite surprised as they left it so late I really didn't think they could be arsed. Right decision though but who would bother applying for that gig? You'd have to be a crazy nut case with plenty of cash and time on your hands who loved a good few ciders . . . .

New manager bounce might just keep them up.

If I was them I would try and tempt someone like their former player Jerry Gill, or another good up-and-coming manager from non-league who has knowledge of good young players at a lower level, someone like Daryl McMahon, Alun Armstrong or Matt Jansen.

Never seen Marcus as a manager, good number 2 but to me thats about it, his interviews tended not to be very interesting!would not rule out DC & Marcus going there, new owners may invest and though scope there would appear to be limited they have been in the championship more recently than us,strange timing though DC could find himself in exact same position as when he took over Rovers, watch this space!

Perhaps I’m in the minority here, but I feel quite sorry for him. Never nice to see someone lose their job (unless it was that p•••k down at Plymouth). They had some brilliant results at the start of the season, but their recent form has been woeful. Difficult job at Yeovil as you are constantly reliant on the loan market.

I would have just been happy enough with being sacked from Radio Bristol.

DW might not have been everyone’s cup of tea for all the reasons above but feel sorry for the guy who put his heart and soul into Yeovil. They will be hoping for a new manager bounce and be thankful that there are two even worse clubs below them. Blimey if we think we have problems in a relegation fight in league 1 it must be a hundred times better than one at the bottom of league 2. UTG!

I wonder if that is one of the latest sackings ever? Especially for a long serving manager and when a club hadn't already sacked one mgr that season (i.e. are just trying everything).
Bottom line is that he has never done well with them. Quite amazing loyalty in its own way, and you could say staggeringly low aspirations, even for a smaller club.
19th, 20th and 19th-placed finishes in League Two, and now 22nd, 2 points off a return to non lge. How he lasted this long is incredible.
