Southend v Shrewsbury on Saturday, neither side can afford to lose that one. particularly with 4 other teams (Scunny v Rochdale & Oxford v Wycombe) around the bottom playing each other so potentially 2 of them picking up 3 pts.

Not much evidence he could turn things around at this level. Hurst on the other hand... |

I think Southend are a club that were below DC a year ago,but after this season they are the type of club that should interest him.They dont have as much potential as us but still have some and could support a championship club if they got going.They like us need a new ground tho. If I was DC then I would wait for this job or another until the summer as this could wreck his name if thing went wrong and they went down under him. |

At this level he's shown he can build a team on very limited resources and compete. His job at Shrewsbury was outstanding, having taken over a team in a relegation battle. For that reason Hurst would surely have a big edge over DC for a role at a L1 struggler. |
