Literally could not care less who won what. Still 15 points to play for and we might need as many as seven of them to be safe from relegation.... ....and I know the club organises this at this point for corporate/sponsorship reasons and we're all talking about it, but who will care who won player of the season if we don't get three points at home to the bottom of the league club on Saturday...? I think the whole idea behind the evening was to allow fans, players, Management to have a chance to enjoy the Club. Eh? By paying £70 a ticket? Yes, the average terrace fan will be there won't they. The main driver behind the night is money, especially sponsorship.

My son and I were lucky enough to be a guest at a table with one of the 1883 Club sponsors and have to say it was a very good evening. The players were all friendly, the food was excellent and given the season we've had it all went really well. Had I known you were going mate I would have met up with you and bought you a beer. God imagine you 2 together. "hey gashead81 that tony craig is crap. "i know hugo because i sit up high in the stand and can see better than anyone else that is in fact the truth"

It's fairly obvious it's aimed squarely at sponsors because they do the 1883 Club prize draw there!

Voted by his fellow pros who know a lot more than us and see what he does on and off the pitch.
But today we all saw what they see, great game Ollie and great goal

Agreed thought Ollie had a good game today.
One of the few players that didn’t look hungover still from midweek. Are these events the best idea 4 games from the end of the season?

Problem being that as soon as the season ends the players are off on hols etc, so these things are always during the season.

Fair enough then. I’ll put my hands up and say I’ve been made to look a little silly.

To me that only really means one thing, and it is not corporate sponsors. I can absolutely gaurantee you that our club is pretty obsessed with it at the moment, and even makes mistakes when persuing it.

It begs the question why he's spent most of the season looking average at best, if winning the award has spurred him to two good performances.

Perhaps it’s more about rising to the occasion, getting an award and being determined to show himself worthy. Whichever it is, his goals have won us 3 points in the last week, which will probably save us from relegation, so well done Ollie. The best way to answer critics I reckon. UTG!
