I have always liked Lines but recently when he has played his little "dinks" in to the air has annoyed me. I just wish we had players that kept the ball on the ground

Lines is at the very least, still a great option from the bench as he allows us to play a more expansive game. Surely his absence has been down to injury or personal problems rather than purely being out of favour? He's playing regularly for the DS and also attended the PotY awards so it's unlikely he's still injured etc. As far as the team struggling w/o him given we're still joint 8, with Pompey!, in the current form under GC the stats don't back that up.

Lines has obviously had some issues this season and most of us at least don't really know the extent of the problems or how much its affected his training and performance. Seems like he had a good game for the development squad at mk dons yesterday. Seems strange that he cannot get into a midfield that are unable to pass to their own players and only have one pace[slow].

Still the most talented footballer in the club, hopefully back from injury soon. Lost his legs now, would get rid off him in summer and get him off the wage bill

Whatever is happening with Lines... Would be good to play him in the last game of the season. Chrissy lines he's one of our own.
*pops up with a 90th minute equaliser against Barnsley

Surely he has done ten years service withe club so should get a testimonial? He is the only player to get 3 promotions with the club.
If Trolls bought Brighton or we played Sheff Weds pre season, I'm sure he would get a great turn out.
Also what about an end of season game between Trolls Wembley play off winners v DCs conference play off winners? Trolls team were better but the extra bit of youth would make it a leveller.
Re the appearances query is it 499 including play offs?

Thread on the other forum saying he is retiring at end of season. Someone tweeted him that ... he replied with laughing faces Saw him, in his shirt, walking in to watch from the west stand. I asked him why he is not playing and he said he had no idea then he replied to that tweet with “ retiring, WTF”. Felt terrible seeing him come to watch and not know why he is being frozen out.

Gives lines his 500th game next Saturday:) I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the squad and coming on to a rousing ovation with a few minutes left. GC seems like a tough motherf***er also, though. So wouldn't be surprised if we never see him again.
