I think he may have been taking the water Topper. Hence my response, although you can never be certain on this forum. I was of course kidding But seriously, I would have offered the first pint, or plate of cheesy chips for free. I imagine a lot of fans would be put off by the £5 fee for a bar which is normally free. Yes, I know the match is being shown, but that costs the club peanuts. Give away a plate of food or a beer for £5, at very little cost to the club, and a lot more fans will be attracted to the event and spend £20 each.

Given you can't watch the game on iFollow in the UK I personally thought a fiver was reasonable value, plus the club have to charge something or some fans would just turn up and make a pepsi last for the 2 hours.

Numbers have to be limited. They don't want "free-burger-gate".

How many people go along to these beambacks?
I don't fancy going if there's not a spare seat and six deep at the bar, but I also don't fancy it if it's just me and my brother.

BUT I was on my own & couldn't get there early so TBF might be excellent experience for someone with different circumstances to mine. I also live 25miles away.

Been a couple of times.
You have to be early to get a seat. Otherwise if like me at 5"6. Someone 6ft plus will stand in front of you.... Just before kick off.😅 Oh the Joy's of being a short ass...but it's all good fun there.
Go I say. Pay those pennies and make the clubhouse shake with that roar as we score. 🤞😊

With plenty of tvs as well as the big screen in the refurbished bar it's a lot better now than previous years I would suggest.

I think I'll go to that. I've never been to a beamback before. I'm naturally assuming the food and drink are free once you've paid your fiver? If it was it would be packed out with none football fans taking advantage of an offer of a life time! Watching us huff and puff and Scrapping a point will do me.

I don't believe BH games have ever been shown but what muddy's the waters is that it's fairly easy to watch any game on iFollow if you can work out how to use a VPN, the lack of any beambacks this season just encourages fans to use one although perhaps that's the clubs intention. Games were shown on boxing Day and new years Day on ifollow, which I thought were classed as Bank holidays. They said at the time that each club clubs decide whether to put the game on. Plus the Rochdale game on Monday, is not showing us one that in unavailable at the moment. Think it might be a mistake though, but if it isn't that is a Bank holiday. You select Bristol Rovers and it says the Wimbledon, Fleetwood and Barnsley games are unavailable to view. Think they have probably just missed the Rochdale game off the list. Wasn't a mistake. Todays game is live on ifollow in the UK. Weird how they change the rules all the time lol.
