Unfortunately it hasn't worked for Tom at the Rovers, his goal scoring record over two seasons must be the worst of any striker in the clubs history. The management must look at themselves for failing to recognize the obvious, his inclusion in so many games is much of the reason why we are still in trouble. Problem is when TN doesn't start we're usually even worse at the Mem, I guess the OP hasn't seen many home games if he thinks Reilly or Jakubiak are better choices to start at home? The three worst home performances I’ve seen at the mem this season were against Doncaster, Southend and Rochdale today, Tom Nichols started in all three. Not sure about Reilly but I’ve seen definitely enough of Jakubiak to justify him starting over Nichols.

This post is my first for god knows how many years and having spent enough time up and down the M4 in recent months and further afield, I am lost for words to describe this excuse for a footballer. In my 44 years of going to watch My favourite club I cannot think of a more ineffective forward or come to think of it, a footballer. Opposing Managers must see our team sheet and rub there hands in glee. The Rochdale managers last minute instructions to his defenders would have been ‘double up on JCH, the other guy is useless’ And yet again he did not disappoint. He falls over more than Lewis Halsane ever did,. Wear some studs rather than slippers, it will help.. Can’t hold the ball up, can’t win a header and can’t beat a man. It therefore begs the question what in God’s name is he doing on the pitch. Today’s performance was probably the worst of many woeful this season but when you start a game with effectively 10 men what is to be expected. We ain’t out the relegation woods yet and it is scary to think that should we stay up there are at least four teams worse than us Best part of today was the well deserved applause for Lindsay Parsons. Your first post for you don’t know how long, but when you do you’re talking out you’re ass. Something you would know more about than me going by most of your posts in the last few years.. Don’t get me started on your podcasts - I think Nicholls has a brighter future

unknown reason! You’ve seen him play right? Lol I don’t find Upson to be nearly as bad as some Make out, especially those spewing absolute garbage on the terrace around me. He’s turned in some impressive showings this season, albeit mainly on the road than on home turf. Much like the rest of his colleagues. ha that may of been me today! Had a moment! I haven’t been away just all of the home games and imo he’s been a complete waste of space and when lines and sincs are on the bench it winds me up a bit!

Good footballer or not, probably shouldn't be starting every games. He scored so few times, you could call it one of the worse droughts in history.

How many actual goals has he scored and how many appearances since he joined us? His goal ratio is about one in 25 League goals ONE last season. NONE this season Prolific then. Maybe Harleygas can do a podcast with him to talk us through his 10 best goals for Rovers. He can make up an hour show by putting it on repeat every 90 seconds lol

Yep Poor team with Poor Management, Owners that don't give a flying F##k = Poor season The "owners" gave Clarke 355k for Nichols: £185k for Payne: £125k for Rodman and GCH money for JCH and Ogogo. No you are right they don't give a f**k. Yes, part of the money DC raised through bringing in Taylor, Bodin and turning Harrison into a decent striker (a player quite a few fans said on social media should not be offered a new contract. As Rovers manager you run out of luck eventually replacing goals in the team. Nichols hasn’t worked out at the club. Nice link up play, but never looks like scoring. As for playing in midfield, too lightweight on the ball.

Even if we survive this season, unless there are major changes, including offloading Nicholls, I fear for us next season. 100% if we keep the same squad we are down by Christmas.

I think you'll find that since JCH arrived Jak has hardly started any games at home? I may be wrong but predominantly it has been TN. However, Jak has always threatened to score when he has been brought on, which is more than TN has done through the whole of the season, despite having some 'good' games since JCH arrived!

Played a key part in our upturn in form earlier in the season. Ultimately we need more from our second striker and Reily or Nicholls aren't good enough to take us forward.

From the views on this thread, it appears to be obvious that we on the terraces and in the stands do not rate Nichols, and yet judging by the number of starts he makes the professionals whose job it is to select the eleven best players must think otherwise? A good question to ask at an AGM or a Q & A session (if we ever get either?)
