Great news, strange timing though considering everything being up in the air with what is fans want to see long term for the club. Classic distraction technique. Shame the pitch doesn’t get as muddy as it used to. 😉

BristolRoversCT appears to be a self funded charity, apart from sharing the clubs name etc it doesn't seem there's any direct connection between the two in terms of management and finance. Good

I'm sure this was mentioned a few years ago when wael took over And it's taken the CT to actually do anything about it. I can see where you're coming from (assuming that time frame is correct) but it actually makes 100% sense to start the girls side as a community project backed by the club and run by the trust. There are so many avenues and pathways to explore with this type of venture that can (and hopefully will) become part of something amazing.... Good luck girls....

I’m really pleased to hear this news. My little girl plays for team Mendip u11’s, based in w-s-m. We play all away fixtures in Bristol (debate Portishead). This season they have won every game at a canter, including Bristol Rovers supporters club girls (no sign of a city team) with 1 game to go. They just won the girls tournament at butlins this weekend and have been invited to play a national tournament at St. George’s park in July as a result. 👏👏 well done gas for this. Good timing for my little girls team in years to come (not just for my little girl) The more people looking the more likely. Again 👏👏.

The CT seems to be blessed with good, committed staff determined to do the best for all sections of the community in which they work. Great work to get this off the ground. Shows what you can do with people prepared to work hard even if there’s not so much money. My fear would be that whilst you can do so much with so little eventually there will be a glass ceiling that stops you improving but that’s for another day. Well done to the CT and all involved. UTG!

A lot of you guys have already been good enough to support our fundraising efforts for the community trust so this kind of thing can continue to happen! Anyone else wanting to donate, please the link below UTG www.justgiving.com/fundraising/darren-nathangould
