Why on earth would he want to go there? It would be just like being at Rovers but with more fans, a better stadium, and their own training ground. Their training ground is worse than ours, apperently there budget is smaller than ours as well. There ground is better, but that's about it really. GC lives in Sheffield as well, so he would be moving even further away from home. Plus they could be in league 2 next season. I would say it would be a sideways move for him. Coughlan is a cult hero at Argyle he’s certainly not that at the Gas. I can see why he would be attracted to it, and they are under new ownership and getting their sh** together OFF the pitch.

I don’t get how this works. Is it simply that someone’s piled money on GC and the odds have shortened or do the bookies know something? I remember when Taylor went it broke when the odds of him joining City were suddenly slashed from nowhere to odds on. Flynn was favourite for our job all the way through and I’ve no idea on what basis

The bookies know that insider knowledge could be a factor so won't take much money on a selection before cutting the price.

I don’t think it would be the end of the world if GC went to Plymouth, provided we got someone in almost immediately.

Must learn from being slow of the mark in the transfer window so do hope we have targets lined up with sufficient financial backing.Cannot make do with players others don't want.Think GC said he didn't want a pre season tour so as he knows more than anyone else what we need.No doubt those going out will have been decided already.

I hope he stays with us. He sorted the leaky defence, brought in JCH and kept us in league 1. I'm not sure what else he could have done in the time he has had, what with the state we were in when he took over. I'm not sure what some are hoping for, and I think he deserves more respect, so therefore I wouldn't blame him for leaving us for somewhere he's appreciated.

I know he's a cult hero, still further away from Sheffield though. He's talked about Wednesday quite a lot. He had a good few years at Plymouth, but left and went elsewhere. Think he would only leave us for them, if he thinks he might lose his job here anyway.

I hope he stays but if he goes it will be because he wants to and I’d never keep anyone who wants to be elsewhere. And if he goes I’d be happy if Chris H is offered the job. His part in our remaining in League 1 must be pretty big. He knows the youngsters, has got managerial experience and wouldn’t take any nonsense . Comes over really well and istr over the past 18 months lots on here, me included, were saying how he would be a ready made replacement for D.C. if he went elsewhere. But since GCs been here CH hardly been mentioned, strange imo. UTG!

I know the league is really close & all, but imagine if I told you this in December when DC left:
“I know we’re 5 points from safety right now but under GC we will be going into the final game of the season 100% safe in 16th position, 18 league clean sheets, signed one of the best strikers in the league for free and with the chance to finish 13th. There will be rumours about GC being approached by Plymouth and at least 50% of the fan base aren’t bothered if he goes”
You’d laugh at me & call him a god if that was the case.
Ironically, I wouldn’t be too bothered if he left 😂

Coughlan will probably get us playing poor football but keep us up next season. Holloway would get us playing nice football but take us down. Why ? It’s in the history books. Don't remember Olly taking us down. Jog my memory.
