Staying with us and every chance of going up. Won't be first choice for a Championship club so why move ? Half the clubs in league 1 next season are bigger or better run than us and probably half of those will want him. I’d imagine all of those clubs will be able to offer him more money. Can’t see him going to another championship club to sit in the reserves , he’s just done that and been loaned out , he’s at an age where he’ll want to be playing for a club hes signed for and someone like charlton, Pompey or Sunderland will snap him up. Hope I’m wrong and he signs for us but I wouldn’t even put a tenner on it.

I wouldn't have thought he'd be in any hurry to sign , probably wait to see what offers are forthcoming. Nice if he did.

He could join a dozen other L1 clubs and have a better chance of going up next season than if he stayed with us. Always optimistic, before the start of a season we're always near the top of the league.

Unless Hani is prepared to underwrite the losses for another year we won't be buying or paying big wages for anyone IMO.

Don't bet is the way to go in my view. I've fluttered a few times in the past, probably worked out around even. Now I KNOW I won't lose any money on it each weekend. Still enjoy my football just as much as I ever did when I put bets on. Can't stand the thought of bookies rubbing their hands together at the millions of people handing over their hard earned cash to them.

What I mean is if I think Man UTd are going to draw 1-1 with arsenal I don’t let the odds of say 7/1 put me off , I do it. Others will say no go for 3-1 you’ll get odds of 16/1 But if I think that’s what will happen I’ll do it. Also he’s probably favourite to sign for us anyway because he’s just played for us all season. If you want to offer me 1000-1 then you’ve got a deal, I’ll bet that tenner? Also I’m not going wrong. 3-5 grand profit a season since I started a few years ago.

Bonham has to be a priority. Too many times in the past 10 years have we been relying on loan goalkeepers. Signing Bonham would actually show some real intent from the owners Only because the ones we signed were too poor. Put Slocombe's and Smith's wages together for Bonham and hope he doesn't get injured.

Does anyone know were we paying Bonhams full wages? Just thinking they would be championship level & not unusual for a lower league club to only pay a proportion of wages. Based on that, signing for another championship club with much higher wages might appeal to him, even if it means bench time & hoping for another loan!

The Posh chairman announced a few days ago that they had five signings already agreed and that included a keeper.

Always optimistic, before the start of a season we're always near the top of the league. Only because Bristol Rovers starts with a 'B'. We have no chance of challenging in the top half next season in my opinion. We've lost arguably our best player, don't have a keeper yet and struggle to score goals. We should be able to recruit well enough to keep out of trouble, but I'd accept staying up if the football is better. As for ambition, I'd like to think a comfortable mid table finish playing good football is possible.
