Didn't think much of the stewarding/policing at the valley last night or the idiots hanging on the cross bar. Looks like no real effort was made to stop the pitch invasion. If I was Sunderland manager I'd be showing the team that video before Wembley. I get that people are excited and penalty shoot outs are extre stressful but never count your chickens when it's essentially half time.

Find me a team that wouldn't run on the pitch in a 2nd leg home match to reach Wembley. Especially after pens. There was over 25000 fans there, what do you expect the stewards to do?

Try explaining that to the Liverpool fan who rang talksport following one of their home ties in the champions league this year. Made a complete fool of himself by saying he was confident of going through because if Liverpool scored three the opposition would need to score six !!! š It doesnāt help when youāve got commentators saying that away goals do or donāt count double. This is where many fans get their information from. Doesn't help either that that Liverpool fan probably struggles to find 2 brain cells to rub together. I agree that of course they don't literally count double, it's just a way of saying that they take on extra significance than in ordinary circumstances.

Boy was I smug.

Speaking to Mansfield supporting mate of mine and he says there's talk that Flitcroft will get the push if they fail to go up. A potential landing spot for DC considering he played there? I'll go Villa, Charlton, Newport. However if Sunderland go up I'd hope we'd enquire about their big centre back who ran the show down the mem because the Sunderland fans after the game seemed to think he was one of their worst players. Well done ! Still in with a chance.

Newport v Tranmere. 0 - 0 so far. Not watching. Any good players we can dream of signing ?

Very poor final so far, both sides centre forwards playing for the free kick at every long ball forward (and thereās been plenty of that)
Severe lack of quality here. We can only hope for better in the second half.

Worth a punt on Joe Day if we can't get our hands on Bonham?

Heat? No excuse.
We shared 4 goals with the shrews on that pitch when footballers (arguably) werenāt as fit! this is just dire.

With extra time looming, you absolutely need Steve McNulty on as sub especially in conditions like this
