smaller squad = wage bill reduction
Looking to add 4 or 5
Tom Lockyer had decided to run his contract down and leave
Wants "honest Players" ones that will roll sleeve up etc.
looking for pace and power
taller CBs etc.
Did he say budget would be reduced?? I was told months ago we were having a smaller squad, as he wanted quantity over quality. Not listened to interview yet, wondered if he said it was being reduced??

Has suggested that perhaps his contract is not 2 year long.

Sounded like he didn’t want rule himself out of the job but didn’t want to upset our fans at the same time. Played it very cautious.

"Restructuring" of staff. ”far too many staff at the club” “financial boundaries” Does sound like he’s been asked to make cutbacks.

So putting two and two together ..
He won’t rule himself out of the job and Plymouth’s chairman states they will pay for a new manager if he is at an existing club.
Could be on the discussion table for sure

To be fair I think we have all been shocked at the amount of backroom staff employed in the last three years. I’m guessing it’s now seen as over the top for a league one team.
