Congrats to Walsall and DC. I will watch their results with interest next season. I really hope DC is successful, he deserves it.
tommy, would you go back there to see DC despite the Saddlers club fiasco?

Good luck to DC. Club legend still. And I 100% believe Sinclair and Lines will be at least offered deals by Wallsall. Perhaps DC might get Bakayoko from Coventry and do us a favour by taking payne off our payroll.

Doesn't midlandgas (DC's biggest hater/troll) live in Walsall and go to a few of their games? Can't wait to see his reaction Haha oh that's brilliant.

I'm constantly stunned that so few people seem concerned re: The Colony. That the last we heard about the massive site we brought in Almondsbury was 18 (eighteen) months ago. Must be doing the survey with a quill. Failed planning app for 20+ acres of housing (did not get past initial talks), bad advice from our "planning consultants" now left to rot Nothing will ever happen and will be land banked until planning rules change Clusterf***. Am I surprised? I wish I was.

Hahaha Seems a fair few people don't actually remember that. If they did then surely the owners wouldn't have been avoiding these questions for so long. They shouldn't be allowed to skip questioning about this. I'm also fully expecting to hear no news about staff departures after GC passed the responsibility to the club on that. Edit: changed the wording to avoid confusion.

It's hardly passing the buck, redundancies, assuming that what they are, need to be announced correctly, not just by a club employee on a radio show, or the employers can find themselves in loads of trouble.

I didn't mean it in a bad way. He passed the buck correctly. The club need to announce it correctly. Will they? I won't hold my breath.

Lockyer is going to Swansea [so I believe/informed] What I've heard too. Swansea are looking to strengthen at centreback as the lad from Tottenham they had on loan is considered to be a £5 million pound player. Swansea are yet to hear what budget the American owners will give Potter for next season and their assistant manager has said they are waiting to know that before making any signings.

I have my doubts as to whether DC will have any great success at Walsall. It's true that he is at his level in league 2, so I fail to see the mass erections on the Walsall forum regarding his coaching badges. It seems to me that once he got those the Rovers performances worsened noticeably, remember how the relegated Walsall beat us 1-0 at the Mem in September?
He likes to play to the crowd, already describing the Walsall fans as fantastic. Yeah, all 3500 of them. They quickly turned on their last manager, Dean Keates, who was a playing legend with them. I fear that if he fails to hit the ground running they will soon turn on him, badges and all.
Still, I thank him for the good times, and wish him well.

Good Luck DC!!! “I can’t wait to get started,” said Clarke after agreeing terms on a three-year contract here at the Banks’s Stadium. “I have spoken with members of the Board on a number of occasions and this is a project I am really looking forward to. “I am excited by the challenge that lies ahead. This is a great club and I can’t wait to get my teeth into the task at hand. “The club have had a couple of disappointing seasons and we now find ourselves in League Two. I want to give these brilliant fans something to shout about, put a smile on their faces and give them a team that will give their all for the club and the badge. “I like my teams to be on the front foot and play attractive, attacking football with the ability to adapt to different scenarios. "I know all about the division we are in, I’ve had success at League Two level before and I want to bring the good times back. I will work tirelessly to achieve our shared goals.” Good luck DC Gave us our pride back for which i'll always be grateful.

League 2 is most certainly not his level! To be honest, I really expected a league 1 club to take him on (Posh seemed logical) and am genuinely surprised to see him drop to league 2. Also re 'playing up to the fans' .. You presumably expected him to say 'Ye I mean the crowds here are a bit pathetic, but whatever, a job's a job init' ??!! The mass erection on the Walsall is because they have just got themselves a fantastic manager and one with a proven record in both the league they find themselves in and indeed the one above it. If I were a Walsall fan right now I would be way past erection! I would have blown my beans everywhere! Seriously though, very clearly a cracking appointment for them.

How sad it is when a couple of Gasheads go on the Saddlers forum and praise DC and slag off GC!
