That would quite literally be the worst home pre season game ever.

Could see 2000/3000 crowd if we played Walsall ? I think for the importance of DC legacy for his role he played at our club and by pretty much saving it from folding all together it should be a full house if we played Walsall. The most important person in the history of our club. Sadly I think it will be played in front of only 3- 5k..I will be calling sick if such a day happens.

That would quite literally be the worst home pre season game ever. Why ? I jumped the gun a little, I’ll swap ‘worst’ with ‘most uninspiring’. Personal taste, but Im not a fan of pre season games at The Mem. I love watching Rovers away at Conference South/Southern League grounds in the summer, there’s just something flat & dull about facing lower league EFL sides on the Mem pitch in a friendly. Exeter being a fine example last season when I was dragged along & we turned in an horrific showing even for a knock about game! DC or no DC, Walsall at home just doesn’t get my pilot lit and can’t see many turning out for that.

Hopefully the pitch at the Mem being recognised as the best in the third tier will encourage a better standard of opposition to send a side here than in previous seasons, half the sides in League One certainly enjoyed their trips to the Mem this season!

DC has had a send off from all our fans in the shape of a very large payment when he was sacked

Cant we just wait until we encounter DC in a competitive fixture? -whether he is at Walsall or elsewhere - Why sully it with an artificial fixture, which as said above would be 'uninspiring'. I bet Clarke would rather meet us in a cup match than in an sterile preseason game with nought at stake.

I'm all for send-offs and I love DC but he left the club six months ago. Eight, by the time pre-season games start.

Could see 2000/3000 crowd if we played Walsall ? League Cup first round would be better we might make it to round two then for a change

We might make the second round of the FA Cup next season and avoid being beaten by non league opposition now he’s gone.😉 UTG! ps before anyone moans that is a joke. (Much like our cup form over DCs time)

FC Sabadell, as long as they come here. I don't think the club could even afford a coach, let alone easyJet.

Guess we probably won't be doing Melksham this year. Wasn't DC friends with their chairman or something along those lines?
