No will smith is not a gashead and nor is Noel Edmonds or Frasier crane.
I AM a gashead and so are thousands of ordinary people like you.
This just sums up the difference between wael and Steve lansdown - a hard working self made multi millionaire -- billionaire who crafted an empire from a spare bedroom.

I guess you know where Ashton gate is, go and buy a season ticket. You can't be serious. Just because I point that wael has not produced anything of tangible note, yet still does all these sad photo ops, means I'm a shithead?? they say you get the society (read fan base) you deserve. Hope it's not true in your case.

I didn't become ( yes I said became, I chose) a gashead over 35 years ago for the glory or the Dam photo ops.

If the owner knows hes likely to meet a international celeb at a film preview, why wouldn't he not want to meet him and try to get a bit of free publicity for the club? As for how people have made their money, as long as it's not immoral, (although I doubt WA or SL could be deemed fully free if that), then good luck to them. SL being a tax exile and changing clubs doesn't really strike me as the sort of person that.. well whatever... Im going to sit in the sun

Im going to sit in the sun I lived in Jersey for five years, did that make me a tax exile? I saw no benefit financially, but their State pensions are far better that the UK State pension. That pays for my season ticket.

Wael and his faintly creepy stalking of celebrities, who've never heard of, or couldn't care about, Bristol Rovers is so embarrassing.

Missing the point, mate - we’ve just narrowly avoided relegation from LG 1, half the team are out of contract or have been/will be released, budget cuts will most likely impair our ability to put together a squad capable of doing anything except staying around the middle/lower half of LG 1 next season, there is every chance GC might be looking to go to Plymouth, there is no sign of either a new stadium or the promised new training facilities, but it’s fine because our president is letting us know that he’s rich enough to hang out in Hollywood chasing selfie opp’s with celebrities who have absolutely NO Dam IDEA who Rovers are, or why this bloke had just given them a “soccer” shirt that will probably end up in the bin anyway! I’m not normally given to board-bashing but this is taking the water!

I’m not normally given to board-bashing but this is taking the water! Which half of the team are out of contract? In truth apart from Locks it's players who've come to the end of their time at Rovers. I doubt there's any chance now of GC going to Plymouth. I assume the shirt was given to Will Smith as a PR exercise to try and raise the club's profile, even encourage investors, is that really a crime? If Wael just wanted to let it be know he hangs out in Jordan(not Hollywood!) with the stars then he could have just uploaded a selfie of the two of them on to his Insta w/o going to the trouble of getting a shirt specially shipped to his homeland.

Hope it's not true in your case. Out of interest what do you feel is the alternative to Wael, the last owners nearly pushed us to Admin and there's no signs of any potential owners offering to build us a stadium, the 82er's just got lucky that Pantsdown had so much money he decided to waste a load of it on a team he never supported as a youngster.

Not very strange But becuase he happens to own a football club, everything he does is apparently fair game, when it really isnt

Im going to sit in the sun If the brand is worth selling then I could kind of see it....as it is the Rovers brand is represented by a sh** hole stadium, a sinister grotto and a 'stand' that looks like a magic carpet ride in one of those dodgy looking pop-up fairgrounds. If Will Smith had any idea who Rovers were he would run a mile than be associated with something so patently embarrassing. As for Wael, if he actually brought some value to Rovers in his role as president then again, stuff like this would be less of an issue, but while the club is crying out to be moved forward with some serious investment and infrastructure that others take for granted Wael is proudly showing off the fact that the best he can do is get a photo of an unwitting celebrity with one of our shirts (whilst hiding the logo of a sponsor who aren't even in business anymore - so tinpot). In fact the whole thought that he had that shirt printed up *on the off chance* he could get a photo with the man himself at a premiere is slightly stalker-ish and makes me feel a bit ill. This guy is supposed to be our president and yet many people will look at that pic and think "Who's that c*** with Will Smith?" In terms of what we need from our president...well, it's pathetic. I wish he would upload some pics of him in the London office schmoozing investors or with some of these nebulous consultants he hires and lets go at the drop of a hat. Let's see some evidence of productivity at the very top of the club, not more of this celebrity stalking nonsense. Have some pride in yourself Wael ffs.
