It's boring. They're a phenomenal team and everyone else needs to aspire to be like them but a 6-0 cup final is just dead. I turned off at 2-0 because what was the point of continuing to watch? Your right! Everything I hate about todays football. Money...Money...Money! They are a great side, but now are a completley souless club. The FA cup used to mean something but now its a very poor mans version of the LDV cup from years ago! The treble, the first time its ever been done should be huge - but the importance of it means nothing in todays souless game. Its so weird that 20 years ago we had two 2-2 draws against this now souless club in Div 3.

The fact they dismantled a fellow TOP 10 side like that is ridiculous. It’s probably the first FA Cup final you could say wasn’t in any way competitive, even less so than Villa 0 4 Arsenal and that was truly a lesson that day! Any shots of the City crowd & you can just see what it’s done to that club, not a single soul looked ‘rapturous’ in celebration at any point.
They’re an unbelievable football team, taking the game to levels no one even thought possible, but good for football it is not.

Strange, my Father said a few years ago, that if an owner came in for Rovers and spent as much on a squad as Man City has, then he probably would stop going. Got to say, I'm seeing his point.

Pompy Peterborough Sunderland Charlton , are first challenge getting past them and usually the 3 that come down from the championship. I think I read once Peterborough have made £13million net profit since their owner took over Then looking at the championship with teams paying players £40000 a week So I think we should stick to our sausage rolls and our top ever signing of £375,000 up the gas

From what I remember our home game was on Sky PPV.I remember recording it on old VHS and running to the Mem to get in for last 10mins when the gates were opened as I grew up just off Glos rd.

I have a memory of Jason Roberts coming on as a sub and changing the game at 2.0 down? The clubhouse terrace with no roof?

If and its a very BIG if Rovers ever got into the plastic league called the Premiership, i will never go to a Rovers game whilst they are in that Plastic league That ship has passed. Not many teams in the lower 2 leagues will ever get near. TV money has made sure of that I think the biggest short-term problem for clubs of our ilk is breaking the Championship, as that league is effectively becoming a PL2 type division filled with massive clubs with massive TV revenues and whatnot. The gulf is absolutely huge now. Not to go off on a City-Rovers thing but they've just sold a LB who doesn't always even get in their team (granted he's an England youth international and huge prospect etc.) for a poultry £13m to the PL. When you have clubs selling effectively 'squad players' for those amounts of money whilst our prized assets go for less than a million (or nothing!) says it all about the gap IMO. It'll take a gargantuan effort for us to break into being a sustainable Championship club. Quite frankly, that applies to almost all clubs before the Pompey/Sunderland-mark of L1.

A team with the resolve of Burnley coupled with the attacking prowess of Watford, i.e. Wolves, might have got something out of that. The result qualifies Wolves for the Europa League and it'll be interesting to see how they recruit this summer. I've got a feeling they're targeting the top 4 within a few years. I like watching both Watford and Wolves for their pace and flair.

Getting a bit silly now.... Cup finals are supposed to be the great leveller, but not today. Please move to sports chat once game over The first time I stopped watching , at half time. It really is something that should wake people up. ALL about the money. I would imagine there are a few on here who could pick a very good team if they had the money. Awful to watch such a one sided game and it’s just luck that it didn’t go into double figures. I don’t follow any other team but the days of Sunderland beating Leeds and Wimbledon winning, are dead. It doesn’t bode well for football as a whole.
