Jonson Clarke-Harris has earned yet another accolade after his sparkling form for Bristol Rovers. The striker joined the Gas in January and netted an impressive 11 goals in 16 league matches, helping the club to avoid relegation and stay in League One. He won League One player of the month for March thanks to his good form, and he is now up for another award.
Sky Sports have nominated his goal against Plymouth Argyle for their League One goal of the season award.
The Gas drew the game 2-2, taking a point in what was a huge clash with their relegation rivals in late March, and Clarke-Harris' strike was a crucial one.
With Rovers 1-0 down and struggling, the striker won the ball from a throw-in and beat two before unleashing an unstoppable strike into the top corner from 25 yards.
It was the striker's second wonder goal in three games after he scored a similar long-range strike against Gillingham 11 days' previous.

Done - I have been, I accidentally pressed the wrong button scrolling down and voted for Tom Eaves! 😂 Still, happy to help.

The clip doesn't do the goal justice - it doesn't show him bring it under control on his chest before bullying/beating the two or three players before unleashing the shot (or am I thinking of a different wonder goal?)

Maybe I’m biased, but it’s certainly one of the best goals on there. Only problem is it looks like the Sunderland fans have swamped the vote.

None of the goals on that list can hold a candle to the JCH strike. Not even close.

Done. Unfortunately I think with just the sheer size of Sunderland's fan base that Maguire will win.

Eaves' is pretty special. Would love to see him back here. On that list I particularly like the David Fox strike for Plymouth. On a side note what the hell was the goalie doing for that Southend goal scored from their own half? Was he struck by something from the crowd?

Voted for Jonno but Eaves' is easily the best IMO. Unbelievable technique and control in such a tight space.

if Messi or Ronaldo scored Eaves' goal, the whole world would stop

if Messi or Ronaldo scored Eaves' goal, the whole world would stop 100% this. Reminds me of the great Elmander goal v Wolves many moons ago when Bolton were a PL team. IMO the greatest PL goal EVER due to the unbelievable close-control, technique, agility and finish - takes out the three defenders around plus the other one and keeper. Like you say, if Messi or Ronaldo scored it we'd never hear the end of it but this wasn't even a GOTM contender!!!

I actually prefer his goal against Gillingham, but this wasn't bad either.
