From the latest on-line but amounts to a Nick Higgs no real news like utterance.Either it is drivel, waffle or there really is a 'Confidentiality Clause? ? Their use of the word 'Tentative' is quite funny. The lack of news over a new training ground and stadium is a continued source of frustration for fans. Rovers continue to reassure supporters that work is going on behind the scenes, and it is understandable that they do not want to release tentative information too early. Yet if the Gas are able to announce some progress this summer, and tentative plans become more of a reality, then it would certainly be a cause for optimism going into a new campaign.

The EP will be gone before long. It serves no purpose in today's world of social media and instant news at all our fingertips. Shame really but it'd be more of a shame if they kept flogging the dead horse that it is, which is just embarrassing.

I remember a time when I relied on the evening post for my rovers updates with the fantasy football team to do every season. I would always have Penrice in it and the green in to pull out in the middle. Oh how times have changed, I wouldn't wipe my ass with it nowadays.

EP long past its sell by date for sure - sad but true and a sign of the times.
I remember the days that your local paper was your only media outlet - all powerful, you would rush to read the back page for any news or gossip, and of course we had the good old 'Pink-Un' - who remembers that Saturday tea time issue?, I would buy the PU walking back home from Eastville on a Saturday afternoon - blimey they go that paper printed quickly, all that days football results including who scored and occasionally the match attendance.
Anyone else remember the Sunday papers printing the results and the match attendance?, as a kid I loved reading those attendance figures. I clearly remember saying to my father "Only 16,000 at our game yesterday!!"., this was prompted after our usual gate was up in the mid 20k's - those were the days.

I remember the 'Pink Un' that was from the Evening World' - the Evening Post produced the 'Green Un'. Can also remember going to the paper shop at 6.30 to buy it just after I'd got home from the bus journey - sometimes didn't go if we'd been thumped. I can also remember when we were regularly getting crowds well over 20k, Bert Tann moaning & saying where are the missing 10k - happy days.

I remember during the off season holding out to buy the 3 Star edition in the hope of learning we signed a player in the intervening few hours. Think it happened twice.

Always amazed how the 'Pink-Un and Green-'Un were printed and for sale by 6pm Sats. All the National results too.No Social media so we devoured these publications for news of things like a new stadium.!!! 1958 and got a bus back from Eastville to Totterdown to do my paper round.Had to leave well before the end but in the winter we kicked off early with no floodlights.Remember Peter Hooper starring when we stuffed Liverpool 4-0 I think.

Green-Un, sorry yes that was what I was thinking of, but did buy the Pink Un as well.
Yep, calling into the local paper shop on route home, occasionally having to wait outside the shop waiting for the EP van to arrive, the papers were thrown from the back of the van tied in string, it was a mad dash trying to catch the evening trade.
