Impressive interview over on twitter:
Saying the right things and has bought into Coughlan's plan.

Has to be a positive. 35 games with Bolton last season and scored 1 too. Ok Bolton went down but a lot of that has to be with their perilous financial situation. Being 30 - he hopefully has 2 or 3 years at this level.
Edit; just misread info - he has played 35 games in 2 seasons. Think somebody has put it was only 4 last season.

He's 1.85m tall which is 8cm taller than Jak and the equivalent of 6.06955 feet. 0.06955 feet is actually 0.8346 inches so that means he is just under 6'1" and still taller than Jak.

Fantastic signing, an actual right back who can get forward and cross the ball, yes, welcome to BRFC.

This can’t be Rovers. Making a reasoned and considered quality signing early in the window of a player that has league one promotions and a couple championship seasons under his belt? At least he’ll get his wages here, poor guy hasn’t been paid in months at Bolton. I certainly wish him well and hope he can be great for us. he has an excellent history behind him. But you conveniently miss out his CURRENT situation. Not kept on by Lee Johnson. Just 4 games last season, all loses, with a club in turmoil. Less than 15 appearances since NYD 2018. I'd humbly suggest this is a signing that most Lge 1 clubs could potentially make. Wages may have been the hard decision for him, but as you say at least he'll get paid here.

I watched Bolton get annihilated by Norwich last season (at home) and they certainly liked an old school centre half pairing. Maybe he didn't fit with that? Or, just as likely, the manager was incompetent. Who stole my level crossing?Or maybe a bit of a THD signing?

From Boltons forum Something obviously happened - he was arguably our best player and certainly a regular starter in the team up to his sending off at QPR then he virtually never played again and Parkinson (Anderson?) seemed to go out of his way to replace him by signing international players first ex-England international Jon Flanagan, then the Polish international Olkowski.
What was all that about when we all knew the position wasn't even a problem one for us and more or less every other position on the pitch (particularly a replacement for Madine) was?
Something very odd went on.
Best of luck to the lad.

Why do posters always have to try and find negatives as you could have posted the same thing on the thread when we signed JCH regarding lack of game time, at least he's showed he can perform at this level, as far as LJ releasing him perhaps he wasn't considered a Championship play off chasing RB but we don't have t worry about that this coming season! Why I think MM’s post highlights a very reasonable caveat to balance a generally positive reaction to this signing. Any player who has only played 4 games last season, for whatever reason, must surely have a small question mark against them?
