Genuine question this.... What actually happens at these murder mystery events? Obviously there isn't a murder so there isn't a mystery, so I'm guessing people dress up in 1940's attire and that's about it?

Never been to one, but I think you get a presentation type thing with say a detective (an actor) and a crime scene, and the detective describes the scene (and maybe you can see it) and tells you about some clues. And you get some suspects (probably) and you get to ask them questions (Where were you on the night of the murder? Down the Mem, obviously.), and more info leaks out over the evening. And at the end of the evening each table gets to announce who they suspect, their motive, and how they did it, and the closest answer to the 'real' one wins. A bit like Cluedo with actors.

Yes, that just about sums it up. I’ve been to a couple of these before, but slightly different set ups.

Do you think Toyah Wilcox is involved? It`s a mystery. I'm old enough to understand this. I saw her at the Bristol Hippodrome many years ago.

Been to one at Bitton railway a few times and it’s a very good night
Shame it was cancelled as could have generated a few quid if well attended
