Carayol without a doubt. About to join Apollon Limassol. Would have him back in an instant. Joined them last year.

Phil Purnell is my all time favourite winger. Caroyal was good but we didn’t win anything with him so doesn’t feel the same. Tony pounder was decent too.

Aidy Boothroyd, he had the funniest way of running of any Rovers player that I can remember.

Aidy Boothroyd, he had the funniest way of running of any Rovers player that I can remember. Didn't the FA run a competition some years back trying to find the fastest player? It was televised on ITV I think? Think Aidy got to the final and finished in the top 3, or am I being a total numpty, and nothing of the sort happened?

Aidy Boothroyd, he had the funniest way of running of any Rovers player that I can remember. I think the only time I saw him play would have been the 3-3 opener v Ipswich under Dobson and I thought he played right back? Not sure as it was so long ago now.

We've had great wingers in the past - I date from the Harold Jarman era - but in rough order of 'greatness' (judging on what they achieved or could possibly have done for the club) Harold Jarman Colin Dobson Micky Barrett Ray Graydon Kenny Stephens Phil Purnell Wally Walters Bobby Jones Lee Archer Worrell Sterling Sammy Igoe
Possibly add David Mehew as a goal scoring wideman?

One of the best wingers I watched at Eastville was Andrew Evans whose career was sadly cut short ! Great player

John Williams - "I took the train and met a few of the other players on the way, like John Beresford, who was at Bristol Rovers " I know I used to drink a lot in those days but when did this happen?!

Rodman is a winger imo. Quick, good crosser of the ball, strong in the air, decent finisher. Up and down injury and personal issues affected season last time out but no reason he cannot have a great season in 2019-20.

Carayol was the last one I remember skinning people on the wing Not fit to lace Bodin’s boots.
