Yeah it’s a good shout, you’d expect us to put shade land in by end of 2019 if this was the case. The post (if I’m reading it right) about ‘people with a vote let’s hope they vote positively’ I assume is regarding the council voting planning permission? I guess that might come first as Wael has said about the dilemma regarding do you buy the land or get the PP first? I guess/hope we will find out something soon - PP is an open source on both Bristol & South Gloucestershire and i’d expect it to be public knowledge very quickly if we submitted any sort of plans I would guess they are at the "discovery" phase when it comes to PP and nothing official put forward at this time My post originally said that Henbury would let us know as soon as PP is submitted, but I couldn’t remember if your contact works for Bristol or South Gloc. council

The ironic point about this ground hog thread is, we will be reading the same old, poor communication, Waq wants to sell up, there are mystery buyers waiting in the wings, we have the worst ground in the EFL, no new stadium likely for another 5 years, bull sh**, blah, blah, blah, next year, and the year after that, Ffs,

At the time we thought that it was a strategy the family employed to enable them to build the best (stadium or training ground) by getting everything right but we can all see now it’s a actually only a strategy they employ to avoid building anything whilst pretending they intend to.

Looks like the amazing building discovery isn't so amazing after all as there are a few that seem to know about the building, may not be worth spending money renovating it, will have to see. The club have decided not to rebuild the Mem due to its location in a residential area, we could double our gates if we had a new stadium and the local infrastructure just wouldn't cope with the extra traffic. The recent club survey shows that 80% of fans use cars to get to the stadium. Councillors did suggest that the old fruit market could be a potential site but although it is not in a residential area , traffic around Arnos Vale, Bath rd is awful at the best of times and on match day could lead to grid lock , so I don't know whether it would be a good site. Best location would be north east of the city close to the ring road and possibly a railway station. The club are looking at laying on a bus services to the Mem which they would help pay for to improve things in the meantime. No mention has been made of takeovers just a rumour best ignored.

The news bars and shop are smart and paid for by Butcombe bitter and macron, over the last year takings from them has soared can't remember the figures but there is a really impressive increase .

It was well known to the club when two directors bailed the club out by purchasing the same buildings on a temporary basis around 15 years ago so that wages could be paid. I would suggest none of the old guard are around to have told the new owners about said building. Should be a matter of record. Anyone got an OS map showing this ? Not that its likely to be material of course.

Thanks, not likely to be picked up by a trainee solicitor pouring over deeds, but I would have thought someone would walk the ground prior to what is to the AQ's a big acquisition. Not a hanging offence thankfully but a bit embarrassing I suppose.

Both Macclesfield and Newport have a modern, permanent, all-seater stand that runs the entire length of the pitch which is more than we have.
