I have been spending the morning looking at websites, youtube pages and general social media from other clubs.
Now I understand Rovers budget is not massive, but I cannot help being surprised at the lack of media content, branding and promotion that is available.
Season after season the Rovers kit is not released until open day while other clubs are releasing teasers and getting fans excited. In fact many have released there kits already. However Rovers have to wait to inflate a bouncy castle till the big reveal happens.
Also many clubs have interviews with new signings, managers or footage of the club returning to training. Rovers have nothing.
I think Rovers really need to look at the things they can do to make the club looks more professional as we do have a terrible reputation for being "rag bag rovers".
This does not have to mean spending big money. There are many ideas that can be done on a budget.
Sadly Bristol City over the last few years are pulling further and further ahead in every way.

How long have you been supporting Rovers? Just a couple of years ago it was astronomically worse than now.

Some of the new signings gave interviews, they were reposted on here. You cant have looked very hard. Fairly sure GC has also given a preseason interview too. I was told a few years ago that part of our problem with the shirts is that ours is so unique that it's not a straightforward manufacture. A lot of other kits are fairly generic.

I agree on the kit reveal. Everything else though I’m not sure where you are coming from. There is plenty of that sort of material. I think it could be improved, perhaps be more specific with your feedback. I thought they could have done a 2018-19 highlight reel to some music..

Great start for a newbies first post. A common theme seems to be developing here, sign up to the forum and slag the club off. As has been said, several interviews have been released of new signings and others. Instead of worrying when the new kit will be released, what thoughts do you have on GC's team rebuilding etc etc etc?

I think it’s fair comment. If you’ve been on the forum a while chances are you follow the club heavily and find where the content is (or are given links). I think we do produce great content these days but it tends to be through the YouTube and Twitter channels. Even the Facebook media is a little weak.
The main problem is the consistency. If you go on the website you won’t find this stuff and we need to work on ensuring that website, twitter, YouTube and Facebook are all in sync.
The other week I went looking for a new player interview on our YouTube and couldn’t find it, it was only on twitter, which also meant I couldn’t cast it onto one of my TVs. Numerous times throughout the season player announcements and team sheets will be missed off facebook altogether or be delayed.

And there was me thinking Rovers were extremely well drilled in the social media/internet/tech world of late.

I'd be amazed if that was the issue re: kit. I can only imagine it's a contractual thing as we moved supplier late on following the takeover. Seems a real missed opportunity not to bring it out sooner.

Hello Bobby Brown. Its nice to meet you. I see this is your first post. Its good that you have such strong views about how things should be done at the club but a little introduction might be nice. I don't suppose you'd stroll into the pub and say to everyone "right this is what I think lads" when you'd never met anyone before. The only reason I mention this is because we often get lost Ted's wondering around in here. Welcome anyway.

The Rovers youtube channel used to do a 'on this day' video every week through the season where it would rewind how ever many seasons and show a game Rovers won on that particular weekend which was pretty interesting, not sure why they stopped it but would like to see that come back.

Nott sure why that’s a problem since though.

isn't it because we choose a new sponsor each season quite late in the day?
Don't most other teams at this level have the same sponsor for a number of years, meaning their kits can be sorted at the earliest opp
