Surely Davies is quite an experienced centre half? if Scales can also cover left back then with THDs injury record I can see it being quite a sensible signing. However there is little doubt that we still require 3 or 4 attacking playersto give us any chance of improving on last season and these signings were always going to be both the important ones and the most difficult ones to obtain. it would be disappointing if a team like Oxford could get Ched Evans and we coulodn't. Davies: 19 starts in League One and 57 starts in League Two in total at the age of 27. Pirate, what do you think of other business in our league? Think Fleetwood have made some good signings but thought that last year. Not sure Barton is the right man to get the best out of them!

We appear to be solid at the back, with some good quality signings; worried about midfield and upfront with JCH injured / leaving who knows ?, it could be same old, same old. We all know we need creativity and pace & power, something all our forwards are sadly lacking. hmm

It'll be interesting to see how it all unfolds on the pitch. It's the classic time of the year where people wax lyrical about the business done by other clubs and things often look very different a few months in.

Blackpool linked with Rangers and 2 cap Scotland international winger Jamie Murphy.
In total, he has played 27 games for the Gers, scoring six goals and assisting an impressive 13 times.
He is no stranger to League One, either, playing 99 times, scoring 17 goals and creating 15 assists.

I've got them as a value bet to finish in the top six as part of a wider accumulator. Ended the season with plenty with momentum and there looks to be a couple of places up for grabs.

The only position we have strengthened at the moment is RB. Hopefully still a lot of business to do. JCH certainly doesn't lack power and is fairly mobile for a big unit.

My concern currently is that we seem to have only brought in players in our area of strength from last year(defence). Mainly on a like for like basis. We're crying out for some creativity, i'm sure these signings will come but until then. I won't get too excited about the new season. I look at our players in midfield and attack and its worrying reliant on JCH maintaining his fairly surprising form of last season.

Yup, we averaged 1.08 goals per game last season, and that's with JCH's unbelievable form. We've lost Lines and desperately need some creativity both centrally and out wide.

I think at this time of year forwards bide their time as offers come in. Wait until the window closing is a few days away and there will be lots of moves

You're slowly starting to see the attacking options pick their teams in the Prem and Championship so I expect the trickle down will soon start to occur.

Just noticed they have signed Jordan Rossiter on a season long loan as well. Good job Barton is manager as otherwise id have tipped them for promotion!
