I just wish the board would come clean with about what's going on with stadium development, we have been led along believing that something is going on for long enough now. Led along by rumours, started by everyone.

Got 27p and a gobstopper. Neither of which is yours. Tasted alright, anyway.

Wael came out saying we're looking for sites in March. He also said he speaks to investors/buyers every day & will sell the club if someone can come in and build us a stadium faster. Do you think he would sell the football club for £0 ? Because that is what it is worth.

But if a buyer says he will pay £0 for the football club (not including the Mem), and commit to building Rovers a suitable new stadium elsewhere, do you think Wael will go for it ?

I proposed a Stadium Fund over two years ago and the response was apathetic at best.

Fan owned and non league. Brentford were owned by a trust, until they went in to Div 2 then they sold it and a few two years later an established Championship club. Exeter will never get beyond the bottom of league one. And Wimbledon are not fan owed www.afcwimbledon.co.uk/club/dons-trust/Some of their "fans " are millionaires, hence them buying Kingstonians ground and having money to put in to the club where the attendances are low. Any millionaires on here?

Alot of The funding from the stadium is being generated by the housing being built as part of the stadium complex. She who has no shadow lives in Wimbledon and she said the cost of these studio flats/apartments are upwards of £500,000 each Can confirm, been looking at moving to London for work and Wimbledon as an area has rental prices inflated by a good £200-400 per month on the next postcode over for a 1 bed/studio flat. Mental really. I have lived in Wimbledon, Southfields. Earlsfield and Wandsworth, the Brentford. I rented in all of them except Brentford. I bought a one bed flat in Brentford for £25,000. 30 years later I retired from teaching and sold the flat for £395,000. I bought a house in Weston, completely refurbished it (mostly done by myself) and had enough left for a newish van and a season ticket

With a new stadium costing approximately 40 million & we get an average of say 8500 , that means we only need to cough up £4750 each.Who’s going to get the ball rolling? OK - £4750 X 8500 does make £40mil... but obviously it is unlikely we have 8,500 with £4750 in spare change. But if you have actual ownership, then we could well find quite a few 'wealthy' fans willing to put significantly more in - if they can have 'a say'. Can't see Dwane Sports embracing that though. There are various different ways to structure ownership. Personally I like the way German football is structured and that Clubs (with just a couple of exceptions) are 51% fan owned. Sadly - that's never going to happen in England. The current 'business model' we have is totally unsustainable and is going to go 'pop' soon though. And other structures may than have a chance to be established. Lets remember a significant number of than 8,500 are kids, teenagers, students and retired old gits. None of who has any real money. I think that Sky and the Premier league has done more damage than good to football. When you consider the number of different teams in the 60's and 70's who became champions its a lot. Today there are about 4 clubs with any hope of winning the league, 5 or 6 grateful to be "established" and the rest fight to stay up. Sadly the import of players on big salaries, and the trickle down effect mean that a lot of clubs in the other leagues live beyond their means with no hope of any success

Just for fun, if someone bought the club for £80m but said they won't build us a stadium, do you think Wael will go for it?

Bond scheme announced in March 2018 to raise £3.5m for a training ground:
The £5m maximum raised (from 740 people) before launch day:
Fans paid back early:
Built and open:
Great post. No replies from the Al-Qadi fan Club? How odd? Amazing what can happen when a Club is run competently, has a vision, and a clear strategy. Those giants of Norfolk have engaged supporters that do not appear to be apathetic. Or just pathetic. My original point was the potential we have as a Club to progress with supporter involvement. I guess it's a moot point as the Board have flatly refused any initiatives presented to them. Some people are happy with that. Fair enough.

Are you talking about the club that gets in excess of 20,000 every week and has a board made up of millionaires?

The money was raised by fans. Longer term supporters were allowed to register prior to the launch. 740 fans (so an average of £6,756 per fan) bought bonds to reach the £5m cap before the launch date.

Seems a pretty good deal for all concerned. Norwich pay out 8% interest, which is cheaper than a loan for them, and a better rate as savings than fans could get elsewhere.

On a similar subject I came out of Asda this morning an there was this poor ol lady crying her eyes out. She'd lost all her holiday money. I felt so sorry for her I gave her £50.
I dinnae usually do that kind of thing but I'd just found £2000 in the car park.
