If he does what he says on the Rovers Twitter page “run around a lot and score goals” then he is just what we need, not run around like a headless chicken mind you but you know what I mean..😆..All the best to the young man and every success in the famous quarters.

Seems a very good young player but honestly underwhelmed when Leon Clarke and Ched Evans were being thrown around on here. I think Reilly may actually score a relatively decent amount last season. But we are again seeming to leave ourselves in the situation of 4 non-goalscoring strikers. JCH may not be able to replicate his form. Reilly and Nichols both couldn't score last season and Smith scored 2 League one goals. Like I said I think he's a good player. But it is a tad worrying, and ideally I'd like to get rid of Reilly or Nichols and bring in a more proven goalscorer. Also, do you think once Coughlan brings in a winger and perhaps Scales, we'll be done?

Sean Scanell (very good player) was strongly linked a few weeks ago but this signing has not happened. Liam Scales is a possibility but I can only see that happening if the manager believes he is better than what we already have

I wonder if this means the return of AJ is a no go now. Definitely not after he got battered by Andy Ruiz!

I think we may see a permanent marquee striker signing yet I would say no chance we already have 5 strikers at the club, last season we never had more than four at any one time - SP was loaned out to bring JCH in. My guess is one of the five will be loaned out or transferred , unless JCH remains injured for quite a while I will be surprised if we operate with more than four fit strikers

Give the lad a chance guys' you never know until he played a few games what he'll be like for us.. We should be getting behind the team, even if you have something against certain players! God how our support used to get behind new signings in the late 80's and early 90's?

Welcome to Rovers, Tyler - look forward to seeing you in the quarters, and hope that it be a fruitful loan season for all parties.

So we can discount him somewhat. If you were GC would you be willing to put your job on the line with just signing Smith? We can’t rely on Reilly finding the goal more often, a miracle with Nicholls, Smith hitting the ground running, and JCH remaining injury free and maintaining his form.

No DM is in the first team squad this year and I understand our manager is a fan of his, however there seems uncertainty as to whether or not he is under contract.

Bit harsh on the current manager; I can understand it if directed at the current Walsall manager Do you think he will come straight in and be a regular starter? I can't see it myself. Hope GC can rustle up a decent left winger soon! I think a lot hinges on how Reilly does during pre season.
