If he gets us promoted happy days If we got promoted to the Championship, I doubt we'd have many of those, getting whooped every week!

Gas there been any suggestion we're in for him? If not this is just ridiculous axe grinding. Roll on start of season. We all know how this thread will go. The OP knowing full well what they were doing. To be fair, someone else requested that we set up these polls and GGMI did so.

No sign that he will ever sign for us. We probably couldn’t afford him and I wouldn’t want him here anyway. Yes he was found to be innocent but the stuff going on is likely to split the fans. Hope he does well for someone but not for us. All the crap that would come with the signing is not worth it. Remember all the stuff that went on last December, that showed what our fans really thought, don’t think it would change for many of us. Other opinions are out there!😉 UTG!

Football wise: yes
Criminal: No, the law decided that.
Decent bloke: Nah, guilty or innocent aside. If you read what he actually admits to doing he's still not good enough to wear the quarters. I know, people deserve second chances. But guilty or innocent his behaviour that night was awful and he never really apologised. Would I want my kids idolising him? Nope, sorry.

And there we have it. Ched is acceptable cos he is a better player I would happily have the pair of them , were Bristol rovers , we couldn’t afford to turn players with their ability down. Whether people like it or not , Ched Evans was innocent and wrongly spent time inside for a crime he did not commit and Ranger he done his time and is now free to play for whoever takes a punt on him , if he was just a regular joe he would still need to find work. Like others have said I’d have him on a month to month contract and implement certain clauses into it in terms of behaviour, if any rules are broken he can then be out on his arse.

Oxford have said they are interested in taking him on loan. If they can, no reason why we can't.

You can’t deny the lad has talent! Imagine where he could of been! He would score goals that’s for sure! I like it when we score goals and tbf in those moments you could probably be hitler and I’d still celebrate and sing your name!

We can certainly turn down 24 goals in ten years. I’ve scored more often in the last 48hrs! If it’s a ‘big man goal scorer’ the Nile Ranger lovers are craving, then look no further than Armand Gnanduillet of Blackpool. A strong, powerful, very good striker at this level and whose name I’ve never seen mentioned in these parts. It doesn’t just have to be one of the jailbirds.

Or does it only matter if they’ve been caught and it’s been publicised? #playingdevilsadvocate

Yes , yes , yes , No chance he’d sign for us though (in my opinion) he’s far too good and his wages would be potentially massive. He was on £5k last season. If Cogs wants "marquee signings, big players, big names" then big players and big names cost money and as with anything, you get what you pay for. Can't see a problem with a marquee signing costing 5K a week. Its risk and reward, a big signing gets more paying punters which then in turn pays for itself IMO. Ched Evans has a proven goal scoring record at this level a no brainer in football terms. An extra 500 on gate will bring in at least 7-8k which covers extra wages/budget. Suppose its all down to risk evaluation by the club.

If we take the rumours of Bennett being on 4.5k a week as truth (And lets face it, these rumours end up being far from accurate) then Ched Evans on 5k seems like a steal.
