I saw that Billy played his first football for PNE a few days ago since last pre-season when he did his ACL.
He came through unscathed. I hope he has the chance now to show he's capable of shining in The Champ.
Billy, for me, was our most exciting player to watch in the last five years or so, probably since Muzzy Carayol left.
So many great thunderbolts, great bits of dribbling and great close control.
Good luck Billy !!

Promotion game v Dag & Redbridge ,Browner's late winner got the accolades but Billy Bob's equaliser was sheer genius.

Probably not championship quality even when fit but certainly a fantastic league 1 , league 2 player. I’d love to have him back with us .

He’s more than good enough for the Championship, a class above for us at times, always thoroughly enjoyed watching him. Only reason he didn’t reach that level sooner was that his career has been plagued by injuries.

Billy was such a lovely player to watch. A class apart from any other player on the pitch when in form. I really hope he stays fit and shows what he can do.

Because billy cant really track back etc and can at times be invisible its possible he might not succeed at championship level. But he was bloody fantastic for us in the league 2 promotion season and in our first season back in league one. His shooting even on his wrong foot was electric.
ps i also think the previous manager and the team during that period were perfect for billy's style. Hope it works out this time at preston.

I agree Billy and Muzzy were both great to watch.
I met a Middlesborough fan who said Muzzy had a terrible attitude there.
I would have had him back!

Not even comparible for me, Carayol was good for half a season in a poor side, whilst Bodin was consistent for us in the best Rovers side in the last 20 years and seemed to score a 30 yard screamer every game!

The goal he scored for Preston against West Ham was premiership class at its best.

The goal he scored for Preston against West Ham was premiership class at its best. It was a friendly, do you think Prem defenders would have allowed him that time and space in a league game?

What I've taken from this thread is that we're on the verge of re-signing Bodin on loan until January so that he can prove his fitness.
