Looks like both have already been found out by recently appointed Tranmere manager Micky Adams. Both left out of the squad today with Richards making a point of tweeting about out walking his dog just prior to kick off.

OK, I'll bite (I've had a few wines).
Would you have him back?

Gill is/was player coach and has hardly figured all season? Unfortunately for us if we retained Richards services we'd probably still be playing league football, perhaps we should try a crafty loan request as he could be just what we need, particularly if Tranmere will pay a big chunk of his wages!

Wrong. He has been either on the bench or starting games. All of a sudden he is dropped from the squad altogether. Same goes for Richards. I wouldn't want either back.

On the bench is hardly playing a major part? If he is their coach there's a good chance the new manager will want to bring his own man in.
As far as Richards is concerned we know from last season he can do a job at Div 2 level. No idea why Rovers fans has issues with him, although that seems the way now with any ex player. I can't see why you wouldn't want Richards back unless you think Martin's a better player!
Incidentally Clarkson & Harrold are both now starting for their new clubs so it's not all bad news for last season's players.

I think Martin has a biggest impact yes. Richards shows promise with little end product or conviction. Clarkson was a good player who we were never gonna be able to keep because of his wage demands. Harrold, I didn't really rate. Not sure how he would have done at this level though.

"little end product" didn't Richards goals help to keep Exeter up, it seems whoever plays for us lately upfront in a league game has problems scoring.

Thought Richard's performance at home to Newport was epic.

Thought Richard's performance at home to Newport was epic. I saw most of his games for us and there where a few epic performances for sure. He was also fantastic in the Burton game when he scored a hattrick. There were a hell of a lot of games where he looked fed up and like he wasn't really enjoying himself too though. I don't remember him as one of our poorer players but he certainly won't go down as a great player either, average really. I always just thought that he looked like he didn't want it enough.

Gill's not on the bench because he was made Adams' Assistant Manager, lmfao.
