I didn't say that. But the club would be easier to sell, so it would make sense?? Why do you always have to be personal?? You're just grumpy 99% of the time. Couldn't really care how old you think I am. It's not hard to work out by my username though! But then you don't like to actually look into things. Plus why would I pretended to be nearly 40?? Surely people pretend to be younger, not older?? Ignore him mate. Topper has conversations with himself half the time or pulls up points that weren't made or didn't exist in the first place.

It was only a joke as I can't believe somebody in there 40's can still believe Wael's working on any alternative stadium plans, sadly the ALQ's ever financing a stadium seem to have long gone.

I thought Wael etc were only involved in the Higgs scheme and that was the deal that collapsed, Dwane Sports being the ones who pulled the plug? Wasn't it potential new/previous owners who tried to resurrect the deal to launch a takeover? Nope!! Is anybody on this forum capable of giving a detailed reply rather than a disrespectful terse response?

It’s really rather irrelevant what the potential terms were for the second potential UWE deal, as UWE decided not to proceed and keep the land for an alternative use. Wael publicly said that he thought they had a deal agreed the second time, but UWE pulled out. UWE confirmed that they wished to use the land for something else. Game over, we need to move on from UWE. I thought Wael etc were only involved in the Higgs scheme and that was the deal that collapsed, Dwane Sports being the ones who pulled the plug? Wasn't it potential new/previous owners who tried to resurrect the deal to launch a takeover? Wael’s account was given to Geoff Twentyman on Radio Bristol during an interview, probably the interview before last. UWE later confirmed that they were intending to use the land for other purposes. No other parties were mentioned by Wael or UWE,

I knew that UWE had moved on but I only thought that was made public after the planning permission had expired and after Dwane had pulled the plug. Ed Ware gave a detailed view that the UWE scheme was destroyed by Dwane but that must have been bullsh*t or history has been rewritten

I just said we don't know. To be honest, I thought higgs and co were doing nothing. I've learnt my lesson since then. I do believe they were at one stage. Now I don't know. I never said they definitely were, I said we don't know. Be honest, before Uwe, were you moaning about the mem redevelopment not happening and the silence from the board then?? I know I was, like everyone else. Point is, things are done in secret. So we wouldn't know yet anyway.

I don’t think I’ve seen his account.

They might be doing nothing. Might have stopped as in talks to sell. Don't think they will want to continue to pay millions a season without a plan though. So expect they are doing something. Even if that's just looking to sell. Someone is signing off this transfers though. For me, there lies the problem, I don’t think they have had a plan from the start. They were full of it to begin with & if I’m honest I lapped it up like plenty of others. I didn’t want a bad word said about them. I was like that until the failed UWE announcement, how they announced it, how Hamer was rolled out to speak to the press when it seemed he had no more idea what was going on than the rest of us. Then Wael, with comments on refurbishing the Mem, to hide the fact there was no plan B. All the BS about having stadium designers who have designed 12 stadiums on board, etc. It’s commendable that some people can still believe they have the clubs best interest at heart, but I am not one of them. I really hope I’m wrong, because I’m a football fan, my club is Rovers & it pains me to see what is happening. Everyone to their opinion tho. UTG You’ve smacked it out of the park there mate. You’re right, they’ve played us like a Stradivarius. “Evolution not revolution” but that wasn’t even the tip of the iceberg. One suspects they could have told us a hell of a lot more about their financial backing when they first rolled up but there would have been mutiny from the fans. Say what you like about their ownership up to this point but at least initially they definitely worked hard to keep the fans onside and dreaming.

Martyn Starnes on radio 2-15 Saturday hope g t does a Andrew Neil on him Maybe I should reserve judgement but at least he’s fronting up. We need a plan communicated after the issues that appointing BG has raised. So at this point I’ll say a tentative “well done” for facing GT within a week of Garner’s sad news.

I don’t think I’ve seen his account. The original one created by him and the old board. His account was in conversation.

Why do you think they've played us, from their point of view? 'Ha ha, we've blown ten million quid on you and you didn't suspect a thing, the jokes on you!' I mean, where is the play?

I don’t think they were saying we’ve been played. It is quite apparent though, the Al Qadis will NEVER fund a football stadium or a training ground for its staff. There are growing number of us that think we just being led along, blindly, we could reverse the question and ask where is the evidence the Al Qadis will ever build a stadium or training ground? Yeah they pay the bills, so they should do, great full we still have a club yes but not going to praise owners for funding a club that is going nowhere, when they should have know what they were buying into and what it cost to run a football club. I get the impression some people just happy to go along on a Saturday to escape their wives, but some of us want to see the club actually progress, the facilities and as a football team, the Al Qadis aren’t really delivering on any front. If you think a new tent, a bar, a converted room into a “Superstore ” is progress then your expectations are certainly low.
