Just watching the start of Brentford cup game before heading off to the Mem. Nice to see a club, who in the past, were Nothing more than a 3rd/4th Div club. Things I picked up on, is that they have made over £42m profit from transfers in last 5 years. They are moving to new stadium next season, part of a redevelopment scheme (similar to FM) in a deal which means they will get the stadium for virtually nothing (not sure if renting) but they also get the money for Griffin Park. Seems to be run as a family club, a chap who has supported the club for over 50 years, doubles as stadium announcer & player welfare, who also speaks to all new recruits & give an history of the club. & although have had different owners, not been afraid to speculate in pushing to get into the Championship & staying there, Little things I know, but compared to our situation where it seems that people with history at the club, seem to have been pushed out, we compare to the sh**e and say we are years behind them, istm we are light years behind a team like Brentford 😩 light years behind Paulton rovers

Good memories playing for a few teams against them there too.

The Brentford owner has put in over 100m quid mind Whilst our's as taken £10m+ equity out of the Mem! Well, they've actually pumped that money into the club to keep us going. The trouble is, they will want the money back at some point. These semi-mythical new backers, who apparently see us as a great investment, want to pay off the family, build us a stadium and cover the day to day losses. Fantastic! Who are they, and which secure institution did they escape from?

And the local media have.

I’m pretty sure if you read this thread, the messiahs all had NDAs with Knowall and Hamer/Masters and they told Gasincider, who told everyone here, who was backed up by Knowall who wrote everything in anagram form and Swissgas who is an ex director started writing about how the business model and accounts would work. The only thing mentioned by the owners was the location in discussion.

Just as this wonderful thread had slipper onto page 2 Bristol Live are still claiming to be ITK....
Barney in Shirehampton asks:
Last update, the fruit market situation MIGHT be resolved end of January. Are we about to be enlightened with positive news any time soon?
Sam’s reply:
We understand the situation is still positive and open, Barney.
An offer for the site was presented before Christmas, and it remains on the table, but as with all deals like this there are lots of legal arguments to be had.
The buyers wanted a resolution by the end of this month, but it may drag on into February.

Sounds similar to what they were saying in the last Q+A. Another vague and generic ITK response that lacks any substance. I can’t for the life of me, envisage anything happening soon to be honest but hope to be proved wrong.

"It's a fluid situation. things are moving but we hope to firm up the situation in the coming weeks. Things could change however and the talks are constantly moving and there are some delicate issues to overcome, but we are confident of a positive outcome"

Although I guess it's good that the same offer is on the table as it means they're strongly considering it

Only 257 replies needed to overtake the Fleetwood attendance.

We might as well throw in March, April, May June and July while we're at it. Who pays Sam Frost? I thought it was the Bristol Post but I'm beginning to suspect it might be Wael.

So far, for all of the puffery on this forum the only thing in the public domain that is actually tangible came from Wael’s mouth...but this is the same guy who spoke glowingly about category 2 academies so permit me for thinking that this is just him being away with the fairies again.
