If he signs for Oxford, thatโs 3 points for them in the bag because you just know that heโll score the winner at the Mem.

I wouldnโt give him grief if he did come to us, his goals got us promoted from non league to division one,
I would take him back in a heart beat as Iโm absolutely fed up of seasons of Nichols prancing about waving to his mrs in the stand and being as strong as a chocolate tea pot

Get off your knees lads, the snake left us 3 seasons ago, hardly played for the sh** and scored very few too, hardly prolific player he was for us otherwise they wouldn't be getting rid of him.
He sold himself to the sh** like a lady working a street corner. I cannot wait to give him stick if he is at the Mem in 2 weeks.
And I hope our support are more vocal in the coming weeks, for first game of the season, it was eerily quiet yesterday.

I always find it nervy and quiet if the football gives us nothing to shout about! Give us a few attacks and even a shot or 2 and we tend to wake up!
As for the ๐. I met him once after the club invited me and my son to meet the players pre Crawley a few seasons back. He was very quiet and shy, but ultimately did a great job for our club. He left to better himself. If it had been ANYONE else we would be hoping the best for him like we do Locks, Bodin, Harrison.
Would I have him back? Tough call. We never replaced him and all our woes up top are as a result of that. He was quality for us no doubt, and I hope he sods off to Scotland or stays in the Champ as you just know heโll come back and score against us if for another LG 1 outfit!!

Hypothetically, this is not ITK or anything like that, but what if we did make a bid to bring him back?
Personally we need something in this team to get us goals and we know that he does it at this level. I would exchange him for Nichols any day of the week.

Who on earth is ever going to buy Nichols? He wonโt come here anyway. A club with ambition in LG 1 will snap him up.

Clearly no Championship club wants him or he would have gone. Few if any L1 clubs will pay the money he is on at the moment. He is at best a bench warmer at City, have my doubts if he will even be that this year. So I guess a subsidised loan which will cost City money all season before he leaves on a free to a L1 club next summer. Suspect they are hoping to cash in January, but I can see the Snake running down his contract and leaving on a free in the summer. Guess they had their 300K worth out of him, and he got a pay day, but a real shame he did not fulfil his potential.
Warm welcome at the Mem ? Grateful for his goals, but he spat on us when he went to 82 ltd.

Not send Nichols to the city, although if we could ever get them back what a way to do it!

Who else has been slagged off ? The goals Taylor scored for us means he would have always been considered a hero, but lets be honest the way he left was bound to leave a sour taste. I think almost anyone else from the era would get a warm welcome at the Mem, most of us look out for the likes of Brown, Ellis, Bodin, Sinclair etc and whilst Lines divides opinion he is universally praised for dropping to the conference and making a real difference with us when he could have easily signed for a league club.

Well if he has given his word to Oxford there is still a good chance he will come to us ๐. I would have him back, but will still treat him as the pantomime villain if he arrives with another team. I would imagine his wages would be well out of our league.

I'd have him back. Perhaps City would take Nichols? I mean Exeter
