I’ve read a lot about why the crowd was down yesterday and the answer was simple.
By removing pay on the turnstile you will lose 10-15% of your match day attendance. I have seen it horse race meetings around the country.
Not everyone is computer savvy or has a printer to print home or lives within a short drive to the ground to buy in the shop.
Bring back pay on the day at the turnstile ASAP.

Surely it's hardly a great problem to arrive a decent time before kickoff, go to the ticket office, buy a ticket and then go to the turnstiles to enter the ground.

I agree with the op on this. I didn't take to graham coughlan and his style of football last season so i decided not to renew my season ticket. But i loathe Queuing up before a game to get a ticket and i have no means of printing a ticket if i try to buy one online. I went to saturdays game but not being able to pay through the turnstile is a big turn off and hassle for me. My dad is in his 80's and when they stopped allowing him to pay at the turnstile he stopped going and has never returned.

Depending on what time you arrive at the ground it means queuing up twice, who the hell wants to do that? If the football continues in the same vain there will not be any queuing of course but that's besides the point.

Be interesting to see how many go to Birmingham next week, with it being a hour up the motorway it should be at least 3k but after that display yesterday don’t think many will buy tickets 2k max

I have a season ticket and missed the first game.
From what I've read and based on last year at home I think its sh** football that's keeping people away.

I mean in total it probably takes around 5-10 minutes is it really that much of a hassle? If it is then fair enough but I can’t see loads of people being put off by 5-10 minutes of waiting, this is literally the case at every other ground I’ve ever visited on an away day when paying on the day as well.

Anything else is just excuses.

You also don’t have to print your ticket if you buy in advance, you can just scan the ticket on your phone. It’s all rather easy as a process really...

We need an uplift.New signings, better football, even a goal might help. The anticipation on match day just isn't there.Need to improve the whole match day ambiance.Won't be there for the Cheltenham game.Losing the fervour as don't see the season going anywhere.Last season was dire. This one has yet to ignite and with so much mediocrity on view my 240 mile round trip no longer excites.Cheltenham scored four yesterday.Imagine scoring four!!!!

Its the modern way and i do get to games early so i dont have to queue twice in reality. But i dislike it and my dad refused to go again,i mean old people do struggle with stuff like this.

Most people do not go to away games full stop. I have tried it but you get treated like a p.o.w which i hated.
