Disgusted that we can't fill the stadium when we play a Premier league team in a competitive fixture which begs the question why do we need a 20,000 stadium when we struggle to get less than 10,000 for a game like this

Perhaps it's because Brighton have traditionally been on our level that people don't see this as a great tie or maybe it's because the league cup has lost it's significance and Brighton will be fielding their B team. Either way, I hope people get behind the team Tuesday night, not often we play a Premier League team and the lads will need the support from the stands.

As pointed out the south stand is for Brighton fans only. If I managed to get a seat in the centenary stand and they then the club decide to open the west stand, I wouldn't be able to sit in it because I have a ticket for elsewhere. So the whole idea is stupid, TG told me it was to save money and there would be more atmosphere if everyone is crammed into one part of the ground. I disagree and and think it would be better to have supporters around most of the ground rather than having noise from one half of it. Agree. It looks crap having half the stadium open. Both from an image perspective and from an actual visual perspective.

I think you make some good points , I was thinking the same about Brighton. Anyway, is the game all ticket??

Becoming more disabled, I need to be able to sit down for a game.
I have a season ticket in the West Stand but this is not open. It is impossible for me to sit in the remaining stands due to the steps.
So this is a no go game for me. Not the best way to treat long standing supporters.

I know they have a small wheelchair and carer area at the back of the centenary terrace. Maybe they'd let you sit there for a one off considering the circumstances?

I have to say that Clare and Dave Sams have gone out of their way to facilitate me recently and without their assistance I would not be able to attend home games. There are still good people at the club and without them life would be a lot more difficult.

The exec boxes are open and there is a lift to get you up to floor 2. See if they will give you an upgrade.

I guess the facts there's still over 50 Grandstand seats for sell a day before the match, proves that the club was right to save staff costs by only opening up one stand.

Not necessarily because there are people not buying tickets BECAUSE the West Side is shut. Also there’s usually seats available to purchase on the day.

Luke Leahy interview here about the game and more. Speaks well. Interesting previous cup experience with Falkirk.

I know it’s the summer holidays but surely the club with all their summer football days would have been able to sell tickets to young children and their families as a promotion. Just seems a bit blinkered how they go about it. Sure there would be problems but not insurmountable. Could have created a great atmosphere. I went on the website on Sunday afternoon and got the last single ticket in the East Stand according to their map of the seats, Block C Row D. Hope everyone’s friendly there!! UTG!

What sort of a promotion though. It is already a discounted game
